Yankee Candle – Pure Radiance in Stargaze: Review
The Pure Radiance candles boast a burn time of 100 – 140 hours for the large vases (a medium and small sized are also available) and at the moment come in 12 different fragrances. Of them all I was drawn to Stargaze most with its mixed scents of Warm cedar, amber and musk although I was slightly wary of its grey wax I just couldn’t imagine how it would look in a room but the scent won me over and I decided to take the plunge and see just what I thought.
Once the Pure Radiance in Stargaze candle was in my hands the grey looked a lot more subtle in fact it almost edges into a stormy blue/grey which once the candle has been lit takes on a whole new life with the glass and top of the wax take on a red glow as it reflects the flame turning it into a magical candle to sit and watch.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how evenly this candle burns as you can see from the following picture I am around 1/2 way down the candle and it has burnt downwards incredibly evenly.
As for the fragrance it is definitely more subtle than some other Yankee scents and if you’re a lover of their big fragrances this isn’t one for you – however if you like a candle that freshens up the atmosphere and allows you to breath in the gentle scent every now and again then this could be the perfect candle for you. I’ve found it perfect for the nights my sense of smell seems to be on overdrive yet I really want to relax in the candle light.

I love yankee candles, but sometimes their smell is extreme. I am happy that you told me there is one that is a little “lighter” 🙂 I’ll have to find it!

I love candles that can burn that long. It looks beautiful when lighted. I would probably like this scent as I do not like heavy scents.
It really is light compared to a lot of Yankees that I have used so well worth sniffing if you are into lighter scents x
I love Yankee Candles. I find them to be a bit expensive, but I feel they are worth it. I will have to go and look for this scent.
They are expensive but I’ve tried so many cheaper ones that just don’t last in scent and burn time though so worth it to me 🙂 x
While I do enjoy the fragrant Yankee Candle scents on occasion, for everyday I like something subtler. This candle might be a great option based on your review. I will have to look for it on my next visit to Bed, Bath & Beyond.

I love Yankee Candle candles – especially the christmas ones. I just wish the were not so expensive. I guess thats what you pay for quality!

I love Yankee candles. I like both strong and subtle fragrances so I do think I would enjoy this candle. The color is really nice as well.

It’s such a pain isn’t it – I am the queen of tunnelling candles as well which is why I HAD to take a photo haha!
