I don’t know about you, but finding skincare that actually works for me is hard. Often, I find things are just too much for my skin, causing breakouts or dry skin patches, but one thing I have learnt over the years is that, for me, sometimes natural is better. So when I heard about The Clean Beauty Club and was offered their Starter Bundle to try, which promised a simple, clean and effective four-step routine, I knew I had to give it a whirl.
And spoiler alert: I’m actually pretty impressed.
What’s in the Kit?
This little starter kit is all about going back to basics but in the best, skin-loving way. Inside you’ll find:
Wonder Balm (30g) – This is the cleanser, and it’s honestly the star of the show. It melts away makeup, SPF, and general grime from the day like a dream. I’ve been using it with a hot cloth (you get 2 in the set), and my skin feels so soft after. No tightness, no residue, just clean and calm. It even works on mascara and eyeliner!
Glow Serum mini (10ml) – This one’s for the daytime. While it’s packed with nature’s most effective actives, it still feels lightweight on the skin and smells absolutely amazing. I’ve noticed a bit more glow since using it, especially on days when I’ve had zero sleep and really do need that little bit extra get-up and glow.
Beauty Sleep Serum mini (10ml) – Nighttime magic. This is a richer oil that sinks in overnight and helps hydrate and nourish the skin. Allowing you to wake up looking a bit more refreshed, thanks to the natural overnight repair process this serum can help with. You know, almost like I drank water and actually remembered to be kind to myself.
Orange Flower Mist (100ml) – Okay, confession time: this is my absolute favourite. It smells amazing, soft, fresh, and calming without being overpowering and offers a hydrating boost to the skin when it’s most needed. The mist itself is fine and gives your whole face an even spritz (none of that aggressive water cannon stuff, or just hitting a small spot). Plus, if you pop it in the fridge? Total game-changer. It’s the perfect refreshing pick-me-up on a warm day or when your skin’s just feeling a bit ‘meh’.
First Impressions
To be totally honest, I wasn’t sure if the mini sizes would be enough to see proper results, but a little really does go a long way, and according to the site, you’ll get around 50 uses from this clean beauty starter set, which seems spot on. After a few weeks of use, I’ve definitely seen some changes, such as less dullness, plumper-looking skin, fewer flaky patches, and overall, my skin just feels… happier?
Why I Like It
- It’s a routine in one kit. If you’re overwhelmed by options, this gives you everything you need to get started, with a simple cleanse, mist and serum routine.
- It’s gentle. My skin can be moody (thanks, hormones), but this hasn’t caused any redness or irritation.
- The scents are beautiful. Especially the mist, it’s become a bit of a daily ritual now.
- Perfect for gifting or travel. The sizes make it ideal for trying before committing or popping in an overnight bag.
A Few Thoughts
Would I repurchase? At this point, I’m saying yes! I’m especially tempted to grab the full-size Wonder Balm and Sleep Serum when I run out. But honestly, the mist might be making its way into my basket first, I’m a little bit obsessed.
I also really like that it’s cruelty-free, vegan, and handmade in the UK. And the fact that they plant a tree with every order? That’s the kind of extra I can get behind.
If I could change one thing, I might like to see a moisturiser or SPF included, but then again, I already have favourites in those categories, so it’s easy enough to slot these products into my existing routine.
