The Body Shop Candle in Jasmine and White Frangipani: Review
I love The Body Shop. It is one of those shops that I remember vividly from my childhood. We had a quite big store nearby that we would often visit and I would love looking through the little baskets full of one use items such as shower gels alongside flannels and hairbrushes. When we moved house we didn’t have a store as close to us for a couple of years until a small one opened in the town centre. By then it was makeup that I was more interested in. I have often brought fragrance oils from The Body Shop but I don’t think I’d ever tried one of the Body Shop candles until I was sent this one.
The Body Shop – Jasmine and White Frangipani Scented Candle.
Made from Fair Trade Soya and containing essential oils, this candle is paraffin-free and uses an unbleached cotton wick giving off a gorgeous floral scent that can be experienced throughout the room at all times.
The burn
I have to admit that I never manage to burn candles without them tunnelling. I just haven’t got the knack of leaving it to clear over on the first use before blowing it out, I always seem to forget and by the time I check it’s always burnt for just a little too long. I will one day manage though! This candle didn’t tunnel any more than a normal candle for me so I shall say that in the right hands and with the right care, it would burn evenly.
The scent
The floral scent is fantastic. As I said before you don’t even have to have this lit to smell the scent around the room. Once it is lit you are in for a whole different experience as the scent and gentle glowing light adds a wonderful ambience to the room. I can’t find an approximate burning time on these candles but I’m guessing I will get around 15 hours from it which is a good amount of time for the size.

I did not try candles but in general I love Body Shop, especially their butters
They do, do amazing products all round I don’t think I’ve ever tried a Body Shop product I don’t like. x
I’m a little bit candle obsessed, but I’ve yet to try these. The scent sounds lovely though, I’ll have to check them out x

I love candles, but nothing bums me out more than buying one that doesnt even smell when burning. Im so glad you shared this review. I think I’ll have to go get one from the Body Shop now!
I have to totally agree with you – it’s just such a let down, I know we get used to scents but you should at least notice it as you walk in and out of rooms! I hope you like these ones if you get one 🙂 xx

I’m a total candle fiend I brought 3 this week (not including tea lights), they are lovely I’m being drawn more towards soya candles of late they seem to have a lasting scent as well.

I live in Vasa (Finland) and in our Body Shop we do not have the candles… yet 🙂 I will make sure to pick one up when and if we get them cause I love scented candles 🙂 I have a body spritz from the Body Shop that I use almost everyday.. its Raspberry & Pomegranate scented and its the most wonderful scent ever 🙂 I think I must have gone through at least six bottles of it since I first discovered it 🙂
I almost panicked when they didn´t sell it over the winter 😀
I hope we will get the candles too 🙂

I hope you get them soon! Honestly it was gorgeous and I do totally recommend it – I will definitely be getting more for myself.
There scents are amazing aren’t they – they really seem to hit combinations right on the head to make them perfect.

I LOVE scented candles, but am no longer able to light mine (since I got a cat and she’s ridiculously clumsy and interested in everything shiny!)
