Spring is Coming
I’ve been suffering quite a bit of late, the dull weather and lack of sunshine has definitely not been helping my mood, which of course has a knock-on effect on my pain levels. However, my Dad said something to me which has been keeping me going for the past few weeks, “we are over halfway to spring and each day is a step closer”. Of course, since he said that we are even closer and as such I’ve been trying to keep myself occupied with spring ideas to keep reminding myself the brighter days are coming. Also I may have been treating myself to a few things to help me smile.
First up as some of you may know I am having an awful time with a certain subscription, not only do they owe me money from unsent boxes, but the content of the ones I have got are subpar. Second up is this beautiful handing basket., I bought this not long after we had moved in and had left it laying around my parents’ house and last week they turned up with it all planted up and I can tell you it certainly brought a smile to my face when I walked out the front door and noticed it hanging up.
Now you many have seen this little beauty in a couple of photos of late, this was hand delivered to me by the lovely people behind The Forever Rose Company as they are actually based quite nearby.
These are made using real roses, that have been treated to make them last for many years and I can’t help but think how beautiful it is all lit up, it definitely lights up a dark day that’s for sure.
So that’s a few things that have made me smile in the run up to spring, but what about you, has anything brought an extra big smile to your face this week?

i used to love spring more when i lived in michigan. here in florida it just feels hot. lol. our winters feel like spring which i love. also i love the owl basket. it is awesome

Your Dad is right – we are getting nearer and nearer to spring. Every day, the sun is setting later and later. Yay! I’m looking for some new candles so thanks for the recommendation – great reductions.
My cousin when she saw this post said about the sun as well, so very true, I hadn’t even thought of it till she said but it is so true.
Sorry about those subscription boxes. It’s so disappointing when that happens. I am loving that basket though! I am ready for Spring as well. I think that rose is magnificent!

It has absolutely been a troubling start to the year hasn’t it?! The weather affects my pain too so I’ve basically been a heap of blankets, pain pill packets, and self-pity haha. Glad you’re focusing on the best things, like that Forever Rose :-O omg HOW BEAUTIFUL!! XX

This weather can make us feel a bit down, me too! Summer and spring always lifts my mood, I would love a bit of sun and warm weather now, I’ve had a bit of a down week myself but going to the gym eases it, I like the rose 🙂

I really love that hanging basket – super cute! The weather has been really bad here and it seems that the spring is far away. I have been eating some chocolate covered strawberries and it makes me think of summer already!

I don’t know why, but the rose and glass at the end reminded me of Beauty and the Beast. It looks wonderful! Great for a guest room or the master bath.

The weather is rubbish up in the North East too. There’s so many walks I want to do with the girls but they moan too much if it’s cold and muddy! Roll on spring! The rose is fab BTW I can’t believe it’s real!
