SBC Skincare Review
PR Sample – I was kindly sent the range of SBC Skincare included in this post for consideration on my blog.
Are you looking for a new item to add to your skincare routine? Do you long for a new bath soak or body wash? Well if you have answered yes to any of these questions, I might have the perfect brand for you to learn more about.
SBC Skincare

I recently mentioned SBC Skincare in my Christmas gift guide, and at the time said, I would be posting again about them in a full review.
If you haven’t heard of SBC Skincare before, they are a British brand who have been around for 30 years. They use naturally derived ingredients, which are cruelty-free to make results-driven products. They are often seen on QVC as well as being sold online.
It isn’t just the UK you will find this company either, with them popping up in Italy, Australia and Germany on TV shopping channels alone.
So what products are we going to delve into?
Hydra-Collagen Moisturising Gel

I gave a couple of these products to my Mum, which includes this one. I sometimes find it interesting to get a second person’s opinion on products.
Starting off I have one of the most iconic products from SBC Skincare, having been around for 30 years. It offers up a multi-use gel which can be used as a face and body moisturiser, primer, hydrating mask, or with electronic beauty tools. It is an anti-ageing water gel, which in a study of 52 people 100% said they felt the gel helped their skin seem visibly less lined and appear more youthful.
The gel is oil-free and offers enough hydration for it to be used alone under make up, or for dryer skin can be layered under another moisturiser.
So how did my Mum find it?
The first thing she said to me after I gave it to her was I think this is going to be sticky and I won’t like it. I asked her to at least give it a try and if she didn’t like it then OK.
However, she found it to be the complete opposite of how she imagined. It wasn’t sticky at all, in fact, it quickly soaked into the skin. She also said it left the skin feeling nice and soft, while lightly fragranced. Making it a product she felt she would buy and use again.
The Hydra-Collagen Moisturising Gel starts at £7 for 100ml.
Aloe Vera Moisturising Gel

Sticking with face and body gels, I decided to try out the aloe vera moisturising gel which is a hero product. This particular product is vegan-friendly and is perfect for those who have sensitive or overheated skin. It is made to help help your skin replenish moisture after exposure to wind or sun and works as a general hydration gel.
Personally, I absolutely love this moisturising gel and for me, I feel like it is a must, especially over the summer. I do find that my skin can easily become red, irritated and overheated and this just cools and soothes as you apply.
I used it as a body moisturiser before I went to bed, which worked wonders for me, allowing me to calm my skin a little. However, I do wonder if a small 100ml bottle would be perfect in a beauty fridge over the summer months as well as a larger one for body moisturising.
This is a product I could see myself buying again once the summer rolls around.
The Aloe Vera Moisturising Gel starts at £7 for 100ml.
Arnica & Sandalwood Muscle Soak

For some reason, I seem to have forgotten to take an individual photo of the muscle soak – however it can be seen in this photo in the top left.
This is another product I gave to my Mum to review, I don’t have a bath anymore due to my mobility issues and while I’m known to use bath soaks in a tub for my feet, I didn’t feel it would do this product justice.
The Arnica & Sandalwood Muscle Soak is made to ease the mind and soothe sore muscles. Making it perfect to be used anytime you need to rest and restore in the bath. It can actually be used in the shower as a body wash, however, I feel things that are meant to be soaked in are often best tested in such a way.
When talking about this product my Mum said; she found it very soothing to her muscles, while the fragrance offered relaxation for the mind. She said she was sorry when the bottle had been finished, as it really had added an extra layer to her baths. As such it is definitely something she would look to buy for herself again. (I’ll have to remember that as a present idea for her).
The Arnica & Sandalwood Muscle Soak starts at £5 for 100ml.
Hydra-Collagen Body Wash

Last but not least, this is another member of the Hydra-Collagen, this time it is the body wash. Featuring Marine Collagen and Glycerin to lock in moisture, as well as Kukui and Passion Flower Seed Oils and notes of crushed grapefruit, sweet raspberries and gardenia florals to leave your skin lightly fragranced.
Once again this is targeted as being anti-ageing and is suitable for all skin types and can be used daily.
I personally used this in the shower and it really does have a nice uplifting fragrance. I can’t personally attest to any anti-ageing properties, but it did cleanse the skin well and leave it feeling hydrated and nourished.
Overall with this particular product, I’m not sure I would buy it again for myself. However, I did like it enough to say it has made me interested in looking for a product that better fits my skin from the range.
The Hydra-Collagen Body Wash starts at £5 for 100ml.
Overall Thoughts.
Trying these products from SBC Skincare has definitely left me interested in trying more from their range, while the Aloe Vera Gel Moisturiser is a definite rebuy for me in my eyes.
I do think the items they sell are very tailored and it is worth looking through the collection to find which range fits your needs before buying.

I haven’t heard of this brand and found your review interesting. I would love to try the body wash
I hope you get to try them one day as they really are an interesting brand.
I was so excited to read this blog page when I saw it was about SBC. I’ve been using them for years, ever since my mum’s best friend gifted it to us 15 odd years ago after she bought it off QVC and loved it so much. Since then, my mum buys it herself. It is super hydrating and at first glimpse, you would never imagine a gel like substance can absorb so well, but it does! I usually get dry skin over the winter but ever since I’ve been using them again, I haven’t experienced that problem
Oh that is fantastic – just shows it is a good product when they have people who have been using them for so long. The gel formula really surprised as well, for the summer months I think the Aloe Vera is going to become a must as it is just so soothing and cooling.
Arnica and Sandalwood Muscle Soak smells amazing, got a bottle in the bathroom. SBC also do a muscle rub called Arnica & Wintergreen Targeted Thermal Rub which is really good for sore spots, just don’t use too much of it as it really heats up the area it’s applied to, does the job though
Ohh I think I’m going to have to try that as well – I could definitely do with something for my sore spots! Thank you!
