Review: Black Cherry Candle from Esmeralda Candle Co

When it comes to candles, I’m usually drawn to comforting and familiar scents (for instance, I own a lot of lavender and vanilla,) so I admit Black Cherry wouldn’t have been my first pick, but after hearing it’s a best seller from Esmeralda Candle Co., I decided to give it a try. And honestly? I can see exactly why it’s so popular.
First Impressions of Esmeralda Candle Co.
The candle arrives packaged in a glass 200g matte black jar, complete with a matching lid, which is safely tucked into a gift-ready box, all tied up with a bow. The overall look is simple but undeniably luxe, and creates the perfect presentation for a candle, no matter if you are looking to gift it or treat yourself.
The Scent Experience of Black Cherry
From the first sniff, the fragrance is rich, fruity, and deep. The bold cherry note is the star of this candle and is balanced well with a tart undertone, which keeps it from being too sweet. Once lit, the scent throw is really impressive, filling up the room without leaving the feeling of it being too overpowering.
Burn Quality & Performance
With around 45 hours of burn time on offer, I found the candle burned consistently, pooling well on the very first use (something you always want to see). The soy wax and cotton-core wick combination helped allow for a clean, smooth burn with no unpleasant smoking or sooting, just a steady, glowing flame.
Conscious Ingredients
Esmerelda Candle Co. have carefully thought through every aspect of their candles and made sure they are:

Who Will Love This Brand
In my opinion, this candle would suit just about anyone who loves home fragrance (and if you’re more of a reed diffuser fan, they have those too). I personally think it is perfect for the living room, bedroom, self-care rituals, or as a gift. Honestly, it feels like a little indulgence every time I light it, and yet price-wise, it is very in keeping with other brands.
Final Thoughts
The Black Cherry Candle is a must-try. With its stunning presentation, indulgent fragrance, and clean burn, it really does feel like something special. While it wasn’t a fragrance I would have thought to try at the start, I have definitely ended up being a huge fan of it, and I completely understand why it’s one of their best sellers.

The Myrrh & Tonkasou ds just what I need in my new kitchen whilst I get used to the operating instructions on the appliances.
