Earlier in the month I told you all about My Little Box, and showed you the amazing treats that had been included, in the two last My Little Box boxes from 2016. Around a week after that post went live, I was surprised when January's box turned up on my doorstep and I, of course, couldn't wait show you what their first box of the year had on offer.
The first thing I noticed about January's My Little Box is it arrive box-less, instead featuring a larger bag to hold all the content together. Which as someone, who just pops the boxes into the recycling, to me seems like a great idea. (However, for those who love the boxes, never fear as it is just a bag for this month, February see's the box format making its return.)
They have also got rid of the My Little World magazine in this “bag”, which seems like it might be a permanent feature, to make way for more different surprises each month. Now that is exciting!
The theme of January's box is: Fresh Start, and is of course the perfect way to kick off the year. The box contains a mix of lifestyle and beauty items. Such as a set of 5 cards, which are meant to give you ideas, on helping to kick start this year as best you can, by offering tips on make it a happy, healthy and successful year.
My Little Box January 2017 – Lifestyle items.
Once again for me My Little Box has hit the nail on the head, with the two lifestyle items included in January's box. First off was a Timeless Planner. This interesting little week to week planner, allows you to start it, when you need it, due to the fact it is non-dated. As well as letting you plan what you need to do, it offers tips on managing to do what you want to do as well.
Next up on the lifestyle front is a snood, a lovely soft and warm snood (how wonderful is the word snood, it just rolls off the tongue). Anyway enough about the word, this is bound to come in handy the start of this year, as after all, it is still cold and I am up for anything that helps keep me a little warmer.
My Little Box January 2017 – Beauty items.
January's My Little Box contained 4 items’ I would class under this header, the first two items come from partners of My Little Box and the first is a nourishing hair mask, from Garnier Ultimate Blends. This product is said to, in the long run; help make your hair stronger and healthier from root to tip. The box contains a one use sachet which is a nice way to give it a try.
The second partner item is a Merci Handy; Berry Cool toothpaste. This is said to be 98% natural and definitely sounds like an interesting product to brush your teeth with. I have been asked, however, to use a certain toothpaste by my hygienist, so I'll have to pass this onto someone else to try for me.
As I said in my previous post, My Little Box also makes a range of their own products which are often included in these boxes. This month two were found inside the box; first up was a body lotion, which is 98.5% natural and includes a whole host of fruity goodness and is joined by sunflower seed oil and ginger to make for a revitalising and uplifting body lotion, which is a joy to use.
Last but by no means least is the hand cream, this has a sweet fragrance and creamy texture, which melts into your hands with ease, leaving them feeling pampered and preened, which with the harsh weather, of winter, is great.
So that's it for January's My Little Box, I have to admit once again, for me, they have offered a good one. If you fancy trying it for yourself, do head over to their website, where a subscription costs from £14.95 (including postage) per month and can be cancelled at any time.
What do you think of January's My Little Box, could you see yourself subbing to this particular monthly box?
