Ligneus Rustic Cushion Seat Crate: Review
I ran a competition with the fantastic Ligneus last month and while it was running they were kind enough to offer me a product of my choice to review.
Now, I completely admit it took me a while to whittle down the choices.
I mean you’ve seen their website right?
After a chat with the Oracle that is Ash, we went for one of their rustic cushion seat crates.

Ligneus Rustic Cushion Seat Crate.
With a crate bottom and a cushioned lid, the Ligneus Rustic Cushion Seat Crate is going to be the perfect addition to any home.
Offering a mix of storage and a seat, this really helps you make the most of space.
Ligneus offer a range of items, similar to this piece. However, this one, in particular, comes in at 525x325x320. There is also a size larger on offer, one which has a dropped front, or even one which offers double storage.
For us though this smaller sized offering seemed the perfect fit for our home.
The seat crate is designed to be able to be moved around the home, so it is worth noting that you can get a version which has wheels.
Ash, however, decided I would probably cause a disaster if ours had wheels and so we went wheel less.

The Perfect Home Addition.
Personally and I think Ash would agree for us this has been a great addition.
Our lounge is very small and we only have one spare seat (which is really Sally’s). And we all know how likely my dog is to share with anyone.
So from the moment, it came into the home it became a real bonus to us.
What’s more, Ash has been collecting some comics and this slips in perfectly by his table. So it’s normal job is keeping his comics safe and close to hand, while it’s double superhero life is acting as a seat.

Well Made and Ready to Work for You.
I have to admit I wasn’t sure what to expect from the crate. Would it just hold a child’s weight? Would it be better utilised as a footstool than a seat?
Now I’m not going to say I would sit on it all day every day. However, I’ve sat on this a number of times to be close to Sal while she eats and I am definitely carrying some weight, but I have felt comfortable and safe each time.
The cushion itself is soft and is attached to a wooden lid, which perfectly fits on top of the crate. It has been given enough padding to really feel comfortable to sit on, while still supportive.
When it comes to quality, it really seems to be well made. I haven’t found any splinters or wood, it feels like a solid quality piece too me.
It may be worth noting that these crates are sized to fit onto of the Gastronorm Crates and the Mobile Rustic Cushion Seat Crate (both painted and natural). Making this part of a modular product which can be used alone, or with other items to make it work perfectly for your home.
If you don’t love the look of my cushion, never fear! Ligneus offer a huge choice of fabric. From maps to dogs and seaside huts to flowers, meaning there really should be something to fit your decor.

Rustic Cushion Seat Crate.
If you are thinking of buying a Rustic Cushion Seat Crate this size comes in at £60. It is worth noting, it takes around a week to a fortnight to reach you as they are made to order. So if you need one for a specific occasion please do order in advance.
You can buy the Rustic Cushion Seat Crate over at the Ligneus website, along with so many other fantastic items and designs!
What do you think of this item, is it something you would love to have in your home?

This post contains a product I was sent for review, while I received this free of charge it doesn’t alter my opinions of the product.

This rustic cushion seat crate would fit perfectly in our cottage lounge, and give us a little bit of additional hidden storage. I particularly like the Duck Egg Sheep cushion design.
Never heard of this company before, but love the idea of these crate seats, they are different and not a bad price, living in a small place, storage is our main bug bear, so this seat would be ideal
They are absolutely brilliant honestly it has been so useful.
