Review: Snhug Sit – The Perfect Blanket for Seated Comfort (Especially for Wheelchair Users)
If you are anything like me then blankets are a cosy essential, but they aren’t always the best thing for keeping you warm while seated, especially when you’re in a wheelchair, or needing to use your arms, such as working at a computer. You can either put them over your lap or around your shoulders, never both.
However, the Snhug Sit has set out to solve this issue, combining warmth, comfort, and practicality in one inclusive design.
So, does it live up to the hype? Let’s break it down.
What is the Snhug Sit®?

The Snhug Sit® is a uniquely designed blanket made to stay in place while you’re sitting, no matter if you are at home, at work, or out and about. It features a clever central opening that helps the blanket to cover both your arms and your legs while still offering freedom of movement.
Made with a double-sided plush fleece the blanket includes a foot pouch and wraps around your shoulders to help keep you cosy and warm. Offering a uniquely thought-out option for those who need to stay warm while sitting.
Pros of the Snhug Sit:

1. Designed for Wheelchair Users: The tapered foot pocket design ensures that the blanket doesn’t interfere with wheelchair wheels. Allowing you to stay warm without worrying about the fabric getting caught in the wheels, which let’s be honest is a game changer!
2. Foot Pocket for Extra Comfort: One of the standout features for me, is the foot pocket. It keeps your feet warm and protected from the cold. Making it perfect for those chilly days when you want to stay toasty from head to toe.
3. Adjustable Waist Zips: The self-locking zips at the waist make the Snhug Sit® customisable. You can adjust the fit to suit your comfort level, no matter if you want it snug or a bit looser. The design is pretty easy to get in and out of – pop your head through the waist hole, your feet into the pocket and wrap around your shoulders and you’re ready to go or sit.
4. Warm and Soft Fabric: The double-sided velvet plush fleece is both soft and warm.
5. Freedom of Movement: Unlike regular blankets that slip and slide, the Snhug Sit® stays put, giving you full coverage without restricting your movements. Whether you’re reading, working, or watching TV, you won’t have to constantly adjust it.
6. Portable and Easy to Store: The Snhug Sit® is lightweight, so it’s easy to fold and carry around. It is also a practical option for travel, as it doesn’t take up much space and is easy to put into a bag to carry with you.
Cons of the Snhug Sit:

1. Not Ideal for Lying Down: This blanket is all about sitting – if you want something for your bed, this isn’t the best choice.
2. Colour Options: Currently, it is only available in 2 colourways. While these are lovely colours, some people might find they don’t have the best colour match for them, with just grey and pink in the range.
3. Max Waist Size: It comes in a one-size-fits-all design and while I am plus size and it fits me fine, I do feel like it wouldn’t fit all plus size bodies.
My Thoughts on the Snhug Sit – Designed for Wheelchair Users
This year more than ever I’ve felt the cold, I am sitting here writing up this post with two blankets on me and I’m still using a hot water bottle to keep warm as well. This is only made worse if I go outside in my chair. A chill quickly sets in on my hands and feet and it can take hours for me to warm myself back up.
While I have a waterproof fleece to keep my legs warm and dry, it didn’t help the top half of my body so I was really interested to try out the Snhug Sit, to see if it could help keep the chills at bay a little.
I found the Snhug Sit simple and easy to get into with a little help and worked well both at home and out and about in my chair. Its size means I can just pop it into the boot and even in the bag on my chair if need be and know it is close at hand should the cold start to get to me.
If you are looking for a blanket designed for wheelchair users and want something that offers warmth and comfort then this blanket is well worth checking out.
Final Thoughts:

The Snhug Sit® is a brilliant blanket for anyone who spends a lot of time seated and needs a blanket that stays put. Its thoughtful design, especially for wheelchair users makes it a standout product.
If you’re looking for a practical and cosy way to stay warm while seated, the Snhug Sit is definitely worth considering!
The Snhug Sit comes in Blush and Grey and costs £37.60.

I like the grey. As a wheelchair user I cannot believe this is the first time I’ve come across these! Where have they been my whole life?! I usually have to have one of my trouser legs above the knee thanks to tubes..etc and so I always have a blanket wrapped round me – which never works particularly well, and I always have gaps. This would solve all that and keep me lovely and warm
they grey would be perfect for my daughter, she has issues with regulating her body temperature so this looks like a good solution

Blush would be nice – I have lymphoedema and lipoedema so have to have my legs and feet elevated. I pop them onto a pouffe in front of the sofa but there is a gap and when it’s cold in winter, it’s very hard to wrap them up – This would be so easy to use!

I love the grey. It is so versatile – easy to cover the whole body but really easy to uncover the shoulders – much better than having to take a cardigan or sweater on and off if you get too hot
I think this would be an excellent addition to my winter warmers! I love the grey. I’m 78 this year and can’t be as physically active as I once was so sometimes struggle to keep warm.
