Kawaii Box: Review
We love a good monthly subscription box in this house, with Ash being very into all things ‘geek’ and me, well, I like giving anything that takes my eye a try and I was lucky enough to be offered a Kawaii Box, to try out this month.
For those who don’t know, kawaii means cute in Japanese and this monthly is full of 10 – 12 cute things with the cost running at $18.60 (around £12) including shipping worldwide.
So what did this box of kawaii contain?
Pocky Chocolate Biscuit Sticks
Think Mikado and you are on the right track, although they do taste slightly different, perhaps more creamy, whatever it is there is something different about them, something which I can’t quite put my finger on, but that makes them a really nice treat and if I had both in front of me, I would of course pick up one of each.
Panda Puffy Stickers
As a child I loved stickers and as an adult although I’m not as bad, I still have the bug for them. In fact I am known to decorate my diary and any note book when I am a little bored, so these cute little puffed up pandas will definitely be put to use and aren’t they just too cute!
Neko Plush Keychain Charm
Neko if you hadn’t guessed, means cat in Japanese and as far as I am aware this is just a generic cat plush rather than being a well-known character (though someone may well put me right). I always have some sort of plush keychain attached to my keys as I find it helps make them so much easier to find once in my handbag, so this will be used once my currant one gets a little past its best.
Macaron Minibox Charm
This almost looks good enough to eat and I have to admit to being really pleased I checked the website before I wrote this post as I had no idea that is also a mini container, which I have to say I think would be fantastic if you filled with lip balm so you always have some on you.
Deco Tape Roll
With Christmas just around the corner I think it’s a great time to get some gorgeous decorative tapes. I’ve seen people do some amazing things with deco tapes and while I am not the most creative person in the world and will probably use this to accent wrapping or cards, meaning hopefully I can put it to good use.
My Melody Socks
These are some of the cutest socks, sadly however my feet are a bit big for them, so I will be passing them on to someone who they will fit, while I sit here and look jealously at their cutely socked feet.
Zipper Bracelet
This isn’t really for me, I can see it would make a nice stocking filler for someone perhaps and I can imagine I probably would have worn it in my childhood, but at my age (gosh did I really just type that!) it isn’t something I could get away with wearing.
Pony Brown Sticky Notes
Stationery is always a win with me, and these will come in really useful, as while they are small, they will be perfect for marking pages or writing out quick notes (plus they are pretty cute I have to admit).
OMG Keychain
It glows in the dark.. Do I need to say more! It’s pink and awesome and I so need to decide which keys it’s going on.. HELP!
Sheep Desk Calendar for 2015
This has made me feel like I need to buy a desk, it is just too cute and it runs from November and then throughout 2015, with the sheep pulling a different, but really cute face each month. As I don’t have room for a desk, I think this little beauty will just have to spend the year on my bedside table.
While there was a few things in this box, that aren’t for me, either because they don’t fit, or just aren’t my style, I think for the price it is a really sweet box and I have already ordered myself one for December.
If you fancy buying yourself a Kawaii Box there is still time to sign up for December, you just need to pop over to their website where payment is via paypal on a recurring 1 month subscription.
What do you think of Kawaii Box, is it something you would like to try?

this looks fabulous. i think they should do one for adults with the biscuits and plush toy included.
Hadn’t seen this before, but I already buy Korean beauty boxes and I really like this. Looks like a great box for a teenager, or for your inner child.

We have those Pocky sticks. My mother-in-law picked up a bunch when she did some traveling through Europe. I think she found a delivery service to get a few every few months because they keep showing up after we eat them!

Now this is a subscription box I could get behind. Would be cool to receive products you can’t get here in the U.S.!
