  3. Fairy lights! Recently did a party for my daughter’s 13th and put fairy lights up. They made it look so cosy we’ve left them up and plan on buying more.

  4. The kitchen is the heart of my home. I love to make a big pan of soup or stew etc to come back to after being outside in the cold and the gloom.

  5. I avoid using my main lights, and instead use my floor lamp, lava lamps, plasma lamps, or any of the other assortment of lights I have, I think the sensory element suits my autism. I also like lots of plush blankets, they keep me calm.

  6. Fluffy comfy pillows and blankets for the sofas & chair! I also love trawling the charity shops for unique decor for different seasons

  7. Clean bedding , clean Pjs, nice steamy shower or bath, and something hot and spicy for tea, then bundle up and watch something great on TV xx

  8. Making the fireplace into a cosy focal point in a room with eye-catching ornaments, flowers, candles and bowls of pinecones etc really makes a difference.

  9. I like to dim the lights, light a few candles and relax on the sofa with a cuddly blanket and read a book, for a real cosy feel.
