Heritage Dual-Side Pocket Watch from Personally Presented
I have spoken before about Ash’s love of timepieces, he has quite a collection of pocket watches going now and while he doesn’t actually use them, they are definitely well loved. When Personally Presented got in touch with me to see if I would like to review a watch from their website, I knew it had to be another pocket watch to add to Ash’s collection.
Heritage Dual-Side Pocket Watch from Personally Presented
After spending some time looking around the website, Ash decided to go for the Heritage Dual-Side Pocket Watch, which can be personalised to both the front and back, one side with a message and the other with the recipient’s initials.
For one side he went with: Time Tells No Lies – a quote from one of his favourite animes, Bleach. While the other side, of course, holds his initials.
How is the Pocket Watch Used?
This particular pocket watch is one which needs to be wound up by hand, this is done by turning the wheel to the top of the watch, just underneath the clasp. To set the time you pull up the same wheel and turn clockwise until you have the correct time set.
The numbers around the face of the watch are of course Roman Numerals, with a second, minute and hour hand present to help with telling the time.
What did Ash think of the Pocket Watch?
I am going, to be honest here as always, we expected the watch to come beautiful engraved as per the pictures on the website, meaning the engraving and watch itself matched in colour. However, as you can see from our pictures the wording has been done in a strange orange colour. Which has left us both scratching our heads a little and sadly for us both seems to detract from the look.
The watch itself can be opened from both the front and the back, with the face offering an open view into some of the innermost workings of the pocket watch. Which is a really interesting and unique feature I have to say. This also allows you to stand the watch upright if you fancied having it open display and open for everyone to see.
Final Thoughts
The pocket watch itself is absolutely beautiful, the fact you can see in the inner workings is great, it really is just a shame about the coloured lettering they decided to go for, though I am sure for some people this will really work.
If you fancy getting your hands on this pocket watch, or just fancy a nose round to see what else is on offer, you can head to the Personally Personalised website by clicking here.
What do you think of this pocket watch, do you collect any timepieces?

I received the products mentioned in this post free of charge, however, all opinions and thoughts are my own.

I wouldn’t mind being given this watch as a present. I think it would make a great gift-especially for Father’s Day.
It is a lovely Father’s Day gift idea, definitely something people can cherish.

It is beautiful isn’t it – I can imagine a lot of people loving it.
My dad collects pocket watches so he would love this. It looks super stylish although I really don’t get the colour of the engraving! It’s not a colour I would have chosen!
They should hopefully be getting back to me about the engraving colour, I think even they were confused.
this is seriously gorgeous — I have been wanting to get my partner a watch for ages and this would really suit him
I am glad I have helped you find one you like! I hope if you get it for your OH he loves it too!
This is gorgeous, would be a great gift
That’s a stunning watch, would make a fab Father’s Day gift
It really is something isn’t it – definitely good for a gift!
This is such a beautiful pocket watch, but I have to agree: I don’t get the color of the engraving at all! Have you considered asking them if that’s a standard thing? Is it possible that someone just forgot to polish off the engraving fluid before it was sent out? In any case, I’d check with them, because it definitely doesn’t look like the engraving on the website, and it might have just been a simple manufacturing oversight that you could get remedied.
They have emailed me back saying they are looking into the colour of it. So I shall definitely update as and when I can with that, as it’s an odd thing. Though it does seem like some people like it.
Beautiful watch. I have my grandfather’s pocket watch as a family heirloom. I don’t actually mind the colour of the engraving – blue might have been better but at least it stands out.
Oh wow, I bet that is a lovely thing to have. It seems to be a bit like marmite the colouring almost!
I love pocket watches, there’s something about them that capture me so much more than a casual wristwatch, and I also unfortunately can’t wear watches because they irritate the skin on my wrist. I love the intricacy of the Pocket Watch you went with
There is something wonderful about a nice pocket watch isn’t there, definitely takes me back to times bygone.
A lovely piece of yesteryear; perhaps there is a place for the unconnected in this age of the connected
I think there is somewhere, it is just finding the right place.
ive always been so fascinated by a pocket watch and so i love the look of this. I can see the weird engraving color being a issue though.
It is a lovely well made watch for sure! Definitely, something I’m sure Ash will keep safe and sound.
That watch is beautiful! I love the old-fashioned style and the timeless look.
There is something wonderful about some of the timepieces of history.
This watch looks so classic and vintage. Would make a perfect gift for father’s day.
It is definitely such a good idea for Father’s Day or a birthday 🙂
This is a gorgeous watch, it looks like really high quality and would make a perfect gift.
It really is well made and I love that you can see the inner workings.
The pocket watch is beautiful but we have to agree we’re not sure on the engraving? Almost looks like it’s been stamped on. Shame really as it ruined the traditional look x
It’s strange isn’t it – they are now looking into it – so will be interesting to see what comes back.
Oh this is awesome. I love pocket watches and it’s great that they are coming back in style.
It is great isn’t it – I love the more traditional look of things.
This is such a fantastic gift! Pocket watches certainly are timeless and are great to pass down.
They really are aren’t they – I think there will always be a place for them.
What a coincidence we just gifted my son with his grandfather’s pocket watch for his prom. I would love to have bought him one as I am going to be on pins and needles praying he doesn’t misplace this family heirloom.
Oh what a lovely gift for him to have had for his prom!
This is a great addition for someone who loves collecting watches. I love the vintage style so classy and stylish.
It is the perfect addition to a collection, just so timeless.
What a beautiful timeless watch! I agree with the person above who said it would make a great Father’s Day gift, I know my Dad would love it! 🙂
It is definitely a great idea for Father’s Day – something a Dad can really cherish!
Wow, I am amazed by this pocket watch. I haven’t see an actual one of this pocket watch. I think this would be a great idea as a gift to our loved ones. Perfect for this coming Mother’s and Father’s day.
Most definitely, something a loved one can always look to carry around with them as well.
My husband would love one of this. I will have to check it out for Father’s day!
I am glad to have given you an idea for Father’s Day!
This would make a sweet father’s day gift. My husband would totally love it.
It seems a lot of people are thinking of something similar for Father’s Day.
