Getting my Work Space Christmas Ready with Debenhams
Christmas is well and truly coming and for once I’m actually looking forward to it. Last year Christmas brought with it a decline in how well we were coping living in the old place, this year however we have a new home and hopefully a better outlook on the holiday season.
So when Debenhams asked me if I was up to the task of making my work area a bit more festive, I jumped at the chance.
It’s probably worth noting at this point, Ash and I live in a one bed bungalow and as such I don’t really have a work area, that isn’t either the sofa or bed. So I decided to take the sofa and my side table full of blog clutter and spruce them up a bit.
One of the changes to my body since suffering from fibromyalgia is I feel temperature changes much more. In the summer I overheat a lot and in the winter I get very cold, so for me blankets to curl up under make a big difference. So that is why I started off my buys with this gorgeous snowflake covered grey fleece throw, being so soft and warm it is not only going to be great for keeping me warm, but for also keeping the dog fur off the sofa.
Alongside the throw I decided to go with the blue reindeer cushion. This wonderfully festive cushion features a sequined reindeer, which is just perfectly finished off with a few bells around the edges.
When it came to my side table I knew I couldn’t clear everything off, so I decided to just add a couple of accessories. First up I of course had to get a festive mug, after all there is no way I can tackle the day, let alone blogging without a cup of tea at my side. As soon as I spotted this Rudolph heat changing mug, I knew it was the perfect one for me. It sees his little red nose appear when you add in any hot liquid (when cold it is black).
Next up I went for this beautiful white wood LED light up tree, made by the wonderful Heaven Sends, it takes 2 AA batteries (not included) and can be switch on and off as you wish. For me this light makes a lovely little festive table lamp (though could be used elsewhere if you so wished such as Christmas windowsill) and offers up a unique take on the traditional Christmas tree design, thanks to the snowflake design.
Last up on my side table is this Magical Blushing Christmas Snowman from Galway Living. The red hat, magically offers a blush to the snowman’s cheeks and it looks perfect sat by the side of my snowflake tree.
Of course there is one integral part of my work space I couldn’t leave out and that is Sally, who always wants to be in the middle of everything. So to show off to the world the true princess pooch she is, she got a Spot & Mog dog crown.
So that is how my office space is shaping up for Christmas thanks to the fantastic Christmas range at Debenhams. What do you think of the items I have chosen and of course Sally’s new crown?

What lovely little touches – they make such a festive input. Think that’s what I’m going to do today – tidy and spruce up my workspace. Live Salute crown, sadly I don’t have a dog anymore and my home is seriously empty because of that.
I think I need to try and work from my sofa more, having it look all cosy and festive makes it look a lot less stressful which is what im feeling at the moment. Love how cosy you have made it 🙂

These tips are great, especially for that small living space. I absolutely love the wooden christmas tree! I don’t think I have seen anything quite like it, and I really would like to get one of my own! xx
We thought we would upsize going fro, a flat to a bungalow but nope, wouldn’t change it now though. The tree is so pretty, lovely at night with the lights off.

It’s the one big depart,net store in Lichfield so I end up popping in a lot as they sell so much other places don’t.
Nothing beats a good fleece throw! I have a couple of them that we cozy up with on our couch!
I have them everywhere and I never manage to say no to getting more ;).

My husband’s birthday is in November and we try not to do anything to Christmassy until after his birthday but I can feel a shopping spree coming on as I very much want some of those lovely bits and pieces. Especially the sofa throw and the Christmas tree.
Mines mid November used to refuse to do anything till after but blogging changed that a bit haha.

I Jane to admit as I’ve not been well I did order these bits online and I wasn’t sure they would go so I was over the moon when they did haha.

I have never really thought about getting my work space Christmas ready. I guess it makes sense if you work from home. I do try to leave work at work and decorate my house for the holidays.
