  1. I actually walk everyday both to and from work. I can’t imagine life without doing it everyday. I always have to do 10,000 steps each day too. Love it helps encourage people.

  3. I love long peaceful walks in woods.I like in a city so it is very difficult to travel long way everyday but whenever it is possible I don’t miss the opportunity

  4. This is great! I love a good walk in the evening when the sun sets, especially in the summer. So fun and so great for you!

  5. I love walking its my favorite activity (long nature walks). I have walked 7 miles and it is so relaxing although you do feel like you hit a wall the next day lol… it is still so worth it 🙂

  6. I really need to walk more. One of the reasons I wanted to move here was because it’s close to a walking track. I’ve not been taking advantage of that like I should.

    1. I have to admit I miss out on so many of these national months as I just don’t realise about them.

  7. Don’t tell this to my mother in law as I never would hear the end of it. She love walking and regularly *try* to go hiking with her – but that would be my worst nightmare.
    I like hiking, but not with her.
    Anyway I never heard of this and I like the sound of it. xx

  8. I had no idea national walking month was a thing. It was right on time for me. I started my step warms during walking month and I’ve been staying active since then.

    1. Good luck with walking more, there is something wonderful about getting out and walking.

  9. What a coincidence I’ve actually be walking more this month and didn’t realise it was National walking month. I walk as often as possible with some of the mums at my school after drop off it’s brilliant!

  10. Having a group is a great idea. It will be nice to walk with friends and family and bond together. They can give you support if you need it.

  11. Going on a group is a nice idea but make sure you have the same interest so that you will never have a bad day whenever there is a conflict of interest.

  12. I have to admit that I do love to walk, and every time I’m in London I always try and skip the tube and walk everywhere instead x

    1. I bet it is nice to just walk around London sometimes as well, especially when the tube is packed and hot!

  13. I think it’s so important to not compare yourself to others, everyone can walk and do differing amounts and it doesn’t mean any achievement is lesser x

    1. That is so true, I think we too often compare ourselves in to many different situations.

  14. National Walking Month sounds like a great program. I always love to walk especially close to nature.

    1. There is something wonderful about getting out into the country and just walking and seeing wht you spot, I miss that.

  15. Perfect timing – I have just joined my local health club and start on weds…I have decided to walk too instead of driving and myst say I am very unfit at the moment so started getting gitters. Thinking, how will I manage…but taking it slow and the point that anything is good is great – thank you 🙂 x

    1. Just take it slowly, remember anything is something you don’t need to be able to run a race straight away (or ever). x

  16. It’s so important to keep active. Walking is a great way to stay fit and active. I love going for long walks by the park.

  17. I had no idea it was national walking month. That’s awesome. I get out and walk every single day, I love the exercise and getting out in nature.

    1. I used to love walking with Sal, I really do miss exploring places with her, sometimes I’d let her nose lead the way haha.

  22. I had no idea that May was National Walking Month! I love to take my 3 month old daughter for a walk in her stroller. I think it is great for both of us to get some fresh air and get moving 🙂

  23. Oh I would love this! Hard to do with my young kids right now but would definitely want to walk more with friends when they get older!

    1. It is hard when you can’t do the things you used to isn’t it, but perhaps your manage small ones.

  25. I walk along our seafront most days and I love to take in the views and sights. I don’t walk far and I certainly don’t walk fast but i love it. Elinor x

  26. I love walking! It’s this time of year that I ensure that we start getting out and walking with the kids, the dogs. It’s a family affair after dinner on those nights that we don’t have extracurricular activities.

  27. Walking is one of my favorite ways to work out. We live in the country so the views are always beautiful. I can go by myself to help clear my head or walk with friends to enjoy the company.

  28. I love going for walks in exploring areas. Where I live in the summer is too hot to do that, but every other season we go and explore everywhere. We love taking walks.

  31. I walk with my friend a few mornings a week. We don’t speed walk or anything, but still like to get out there and get some fresh air.

  32. I used to love walking now have a neurological disease but with my walker I can manage to walk. Can go round town can’t walk miles like I used to but I do the best for me and that’s all you can do. Go for it xxx
