Get the look for Halloween: Netflix favourites
Netflix offers on-demand programming no matter your tastes and of course, it has long been a Halloween tradition to dress up, so why not take inspiration from your favourite Netflix programme and thanks to the talent of Katy Fray whose career includes big names such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 and 2 and lead prosthetic makeup artist on The Hobbit trilogy.
They have put together four different looks from four brilliant programmes.
Madison Montgomery – American Horror Story
Madison Montgomery is of course from the third season of American Horror Story – Covern and is one of the students at Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies. Without giving away too much for those who are yet to watch it, Madison was a child star, used to getting her own way – she sought refuge at the Academy after killing a director by using telekinesis to drop a spot light on him.
She is self-centred, with a huge ego, yet we do see slight glimpses of vulnerability at times and she is definitely one of my favourite characters from the season.
Pennsatucky – Orange is the New Black
You can’t speak about Netflix without their award winning original drama Orange is the New Black being brought up and Tiffany “Pennsatucky” Doggett is of course one of Litchfield’s inmates and offers up the perfect Halloween costume from the show. Pennsatucky features in both season one and two, with this look of course coming from the season finale of season one.
Elena Gilbert – The Vampire Diaries
If you haven’t heard of The Vampire Diaries where have you been? Elena is of course the main female protagonist of the series. Elena is in love with centuries old Stefan Salvatore and much her story surrounds their relationship and his older brother Damon.
Of course as the costume idea suggests – she later becomes a vampire herself.
Shelley Godfrey – Hemlock Grove
Hemlock Grove is of course another Netflix original now on its second series and with it comes the most elaborate make up idea for this Halloween, because you are looking at how to do Shelley and her all Seeing Eye. Shelly is of course the gentle giant of the series and also quite the hero.
So there you have four fantastic looks thanks to Katy Fray and Netflix, of course if you aren’t heading out this Halloween why not make sure to catch one of the four shows on Netflix, as they are all ready to be watched.

Thought my other comment was a little too much…these are great makeup ideas– but monsters scare me, even at my age. LOL
Creepy, creepy, creepy… I know that people love monster movies and monster costumes, but I don’t, at all. Just feel like there are enough monsters in real life, and we don’t need to make up more. Sorry to be a Halloween pooper.
I love the zombie look. Probably as I have just been watching all four series of the walking dead, back to back, on netflix.

Cool! These are some talented make-up jobs, for sure! I tend to be more “cutesy” Halloween, myself. The shirt I had on last night was “Hello Kitty Happy Halloween” LOL
I think it’s fun to copy looks… I saw a news post today where the stars were copying other stars for Halloween in years past (Cindy Crawford as Slash and her husband as Axl Rose was pretty spot on and funny!). We went out as parents of Robin (the superhero), and of course we had Robin w/us too. 😉
Lovin’ that Netflix is here to stay. So so so many people rave about it (including my oldest son who has it in his house).
