Gentleman’s Tea Beer Hamper Review: A Father’s Day Treat with a Twist
AD – PR Sample I received a Gentleman’s Tea Beer Hamper from Hampers.com for consideration on my blog.
Hampers.com are a small business and thus HFSS exempt
Father’s Day has a habit of creeping up on us, doesn’t it? One minute it’s spring, and the next you’re trying to think of something thoughtful for the dad, grandad, stepdad, or father figure in your life who insists “they don’t need anything”.
That’s one reason I always think hampers make such a lovely gift, rather than buying another gadget, mug, or pair of socks, you’re giving someone the chance to sit back, relax, and enjoy a selection of treats they might not usually buy for themselves.
Recently, we were kindly sent the Gentleman’s Tea Beer Hamper from Hampers.com, which would most definitely make a fantastic Father’s Day gift.
What’s Included in the Gentleman’s Tea Beer Hamper?

The Gentleman’s Tea Beer Hamper puts a savoury twist on the traditional afternoon tea experience. Instead of Champagne and pastries, this hamper combines beers with a selection of savoury and sweet treats.
Inside the beautifully presented hamper, you’ll find a carefully chosen mix of snacks, accompaniments, and drinks designed to be enjoyed together. Highlights include 2 beers from Oxfordshire’s Loose Cannon Brewery, alongside crackers, cheese, chutney, crisps, shortbread, fruit cake, whiskey tea, strawberry jam, fudge and chocolate – yes, there’s a whopping 12 items in the hamper!
One thing I’ve always appreciated about Hampers.com is how thoughtfully their hampers are put together. Rather than feeling like a random collection of products, everything feels specifically chosen to create an enjoyable experience from start to finish.
A Great Father’s Day Gift Idea

Finding a Father’s Day gift can be surprisingly difficult, especially if you’re shopping for someone who already seems to have everything.
What I like about this hamper is that it feels versatile; no matter if the recipient enjoys a good beer, loves putting together a cheeseboard, enjoys afternoon grazing sessions, or simply appreciates quality food and drink, there’s plenty to enjoy.
It’s also the sort of gift that encourages someone to take a little time for themselves and enjoy the contents over a quiet afternoon, perhaps with family or friends.
Beyond Father’s Day, I can also see this hamper working well for:
- Birthdays
- Retirement gifts
- Thank you presents
- Gifts for grandads
- Summer celebrations
- Housewarming gifts
Presentation Matters

When it comes to gifting, presentation can make a huge difference, and Hampers.com always does this particularly well.
The hamper arrives beautifully packaged, creating that exciting “what’s inside?” moment before you’ve even started exploring the contents. It feels special from the moment it arrives, which is exactly what you want when you’re sending a gift directly to someone’s door and don’t worry, you can add a personalised note so whoever you are sending to knows it’s from you!
Our Thoughts

One of the things that stood out most to us was the balance between the savoury and sweet elements. Often, you find hampers can lean heavily in one direction; this one offers a little bit of everything.
The beer selection pairs nicely with the savoury snacks, while the sweet treats provide the perfect finish to the experience. It felt like the sort of hamper that could easily be enjoyed over an afternoon while relaxing in the garden, watching sport, or catching up with family.
I have to admit I may have stolen the fruit cake before I gave the rest of my hamper to my Dad, and wow, it was delicious!
My parents have been away at Hay Festival and have only just got back, so they haven’t had a huge chance to try everything yet, but they did say the cheese is absolutely delicious with a lovely smoked savoury flavour, while the first beer, the Gunners Gold, was especially refreshing on a hot May evening.
So I have to say, much like the Luxury Champagne Afternoon Tea Hamper I reviewed previously, this felt like more than just a collection of food and drink. It felt like an occasion waiting to happen.
Is the Gentleman’s Tea Beer Hamper Worth It?
If you’re looking for a Father’s Day gift that feels thoughtful, indulgent, and a little different from the usual options, I think this hamper is a great choice.
Rather than being a gift that’s opened and forgotten, it creates an experience that can be enjoyed over several hours or days, making it feel particularly special. The combination of beer, savoury snacks, and sweet treats means there’s plenty of variety, while the presentation makes it feel like a luxury gift from the moment it arrives.
For anyone struggling to find a Father’s Day gift this year, the Gentleman’s Tea Beer Hamper is definitely worth considering.
