FitFlop Shuv Shearling Wool Slippers Review

With the weather getting colder you might be thinking about ways to keep your feet feeling warm and cosy. Well, today I have a review of a comfy and cosy pair of slippers from FitFlop.

Hitting the scene back in 2007, FitFlop has tried to be a game changer since it started. Originally they showed that a shoe could be both comfy and stylish and hold up to hours’ worth of wear, to change that idea they came out with a sandal that combined style with world-class science.
Since then they have carried on making shoes that work with your body. Each item from them has been biomechanically engineered, which means it has been designed to complement your body structure, joint alignment and natural movement.
They are actually a brand I have used for a number of years now and I have found their shoes to be comfortable, supportive and built to last. So when I was asked if I would like to try out a pair of slippers from them I had to say yes.
Shuv Shearling Wool Slippers
These two-strap design slippers are available in both ivory as seen in this post and soft pink. They are made from a shearling wool upper and faux-fur footbed. The sole also utilises the FitFlop triple-density Microwobbleboard™ midsole which is made to offer all-day comfort, thanks to the fact it is both shock-absorbing and helps to diffuse underfoot pressure.
For the sole, they offer up a slip-resistant rubber which for someone who has a habit of slipping and falling like me is a must.
Size wise they are offered in a size 3 – 9 with a half size of 6.5 also available.
My Thoughts on the Shuv Shearling Wool Slippers
One thing I would say about these is the sizing note on the website says “These Shuv slides have a little bit of initial stretch, so the fit feels slightly roomier. You may prefer to buy these a size smaller than you would normally buy.”
Personally, I have a wide foot and in all honesty, would have benefited from sizing up. I ended up passing them on to my Mum who has a size 5 – 6 foot while I’m a 6 – 7 and went for a 6, she also has a very slim foot and they fit her well. She has said if they do stretch she will pass them back so I will update if that happens.
That said when it comes to comfort they are so cosy they support the foot well, As such they are going to keep you comfortable on those long winter days. The shearling wool is wonderful and warm and thanks to the footbed being well-designed you don’t have to worry about them feeling as if they will fall off.
Overall I really like these slippers, and I might be keeping my fingers crossed they come back to me. I would however suggest that if you can, try them in-store if you aren’t sure about sizing.

I really like the look of these but I have a wide foot too, i would definitely consider them though \9saying that, my daughter seems to like stealing my slippers)
There’s a few highstreet stores that stock them so if there’s one close it might be worth trying a couple of sizes. I think over time you will get some give in the straps and sizing up will always give that little bit extra room too, but I’ll definitely update on if it does!

These look amazing and so comfy but quite an investment at over £100. I would need a promo code!
They are definitely comfy – an investment as well as I think they will last a while as well made.
These do look super cosy and comfy. I have never seen open toes slippers in that sort of material before. So cool. They look much for breathable without losing out on comfort,.
Definitely I have to admit I do like more open slippers as you get that tempreture regulation going on better.
