As the officer pursued this strange path, he reunited with Catherine, a woman he had once saved after the Battle of Waterloo. Together, they set off across France, seeking safety for their unusual companions in the Pyrenees, the creatures’ ancestral home. However, a new threat emerged, a ruthless werewolf, the former leader of the missing patrol and the estranged son of the late Duc de Garenne. Their escape turned into a fight for survival as they faced a relentless and vengeful adversary.

Robert Fitzpatrick began writing The Bequest Chronicles 35 years ago during his daily commute from London Bridge Station. His goal was to craft a bedtime story for his young daughter, who never tired of hearing his imaginative tales. Decades later, he finally had the chance to bring these cherished stories to life as a series of novels, nearly four decades in the making.
