  1. the local florist around the corner to where I live. They were brand new when they opened and we were their first wedding…and they did a beautiful job so I always buy Christmas and bday gifts from them. Love to support local independent businesses.

  2. Our town, Ashby de la Zouch, is full of wonderful independent shops – we get gifts, cards, household items, fruit/veg, meat, bread/pastries, coffee all from small local businesses.

  3. My local farm shop buying locally sourced fruit and veg, double win I get great produce and they get the support of the local community.

  4. I’ll be supporting my local DIY shop. we’ve just moved house and seem to be in and out every day. they’re great and get something in if they don’t have it. they also give tips and ideas too.

  5. I buy my meat and vegetables at our local farm shop. I also have supported local shops In Tavistock this Christmas for gifts. Keep the High Street going is so important.

  6. I will be supporting my local Italian restaurant. I’m going there for some Christmas dinner and drinks with friends!

  7. I’ll be supporting a lovely restaurant in Chester called the Chef’s Table. Their menu is just perfect for that special occassion.

  8. My local butcher’s for Lincolnshire specialities. Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without these delicious treats.

  10. I’ve visited a couple of Christmas craft fairs and bought my christmas presents from stall holders there. It means I’m supporting a small (usually local) business and getting unique gifts.

  12. This year my partner got me an advent calendar from a small business on Tiktok called Loaded Chocolate! It’s lush. It was lovely to support them!

  13. I do buy quite a few cross stitch charts from small businesses on etsy. I have also started using a very local family jewellery shop in our town who are so friendly and knowledgable.

  14. A small gift shop where i live – i popped in there the other day and was delighted by the things she had on sale – i bought a christmas tree ornament and a brooch for my daughters christmas present – all because i happened to stroll past the window!

  15. There is a small shop in Whitstable that sells lovely unique gifts and I have bought a few items from there for presents.

  17. I am supporting our local gardening shop they have such a great variety of products also our butcher, local chemist and post office. I think it is so important to support local businesses.

  19. There is a lovely shop in Lockerbie called The Flower Pot which sells gift for every occasion. I will be supporting them

  20. These Etsy finds are all so lovely! We have a local small business that makes lovely natural skincare products so I’m going to try and get as many gifts from her as I can!

  22. I’m supporting our local charity shops buying lots of books for hibernation reading! Plus our local book shop for gifts!

  23. How lovely is that Robin in the Snow, my nan would love this. She adores Robin anything and this is very unique.

  24. We have a local guy who has a street stall and he sells amazing christmas tree decorations, so I always buy one from him

  25. I live in Glasgow and try to buy gifts from small, local gift shops simply because I’m useless at thinking of gifts to get but I know what I like when I see it on display.

  27. I live in Skipton, a market town in North Yorkshire, we have a lot of independent shops and market. I will be buying as much locally as I can

  28. I’ve just discovered a small candle business from Newcastle called Hot Wax, they do a croissant scented candle which I’ve treated myself to. I’ve also ordered some Christmas wax melts to use as gifts.
