Essence Candles Asian Pear & Lily: Review
I have a soft spot for candles, to me a room isn’t its best or quite as a relaxing as it could be, without a candle softly burning and giving off its fragrant scent in it and as such I am always excited to come across new candle brands to try.
A few weeks ago Essence Candles kindly reached out to me Twitter and asked if I would like to try one of their candles and of course I said yes.
At the moment Essence Candles stock a range of 4 different fragrances, each of which is available in a 190ml candle tin or as I received a beautifully packaged 300ml jar in a box that is all tied up with a ribbon making for the perfect gift.
I was rather torn between Fresh Linen and Asian Pear & Lily, but I thought I would go for something a little different and I am so glad I did.

Honestly this has to be one of the most wonderful smelling candles I have ever used, there is something about the way the fragrances used are blended together that really offers something quite different, to anything I have ever used before.
The fragrance isn’t over powering, yet once lit it softly fills the room and offers a scent that suddenly wafts your way every now and again, which makes such a pleasant experience.
I always make Ash to smell candles and normally he just says ok then, but he actually took a sniff of this, looked at me and said oh that smells good – high praise indeed!
So what does is smell like?
It offers a fresh mix of a fruity and floral with a citrus burst that is complemented by the heart of fressia and jasmine – something that I think could really been enjoyed by many people.
As with all of Essence Candles Asian Pear & Lily is a hand poured candle, made from soy wax – in fact the whole process is done by hand from the adding of fragrance to the labelling. Each candle is made right here in the UK, in fact in Cumbria by a husband and wife team and really is something special.
Personally I shall be slowly treating myself to all the different fragrances from the range as well as looking to buy them as gifts, as they offer so a high quality candle.

Ooh I do love a nice scented candle – we burn them every evening, and it really does keep the house smelling lovely! They sounds really nice, will have to keep and eye out for some!

I like candles too however, more recently I have a terrible habit of not burning them. Pear and Lily sounds like a wicked combination. Its even better your boyfriend liked it too. Happy burning 🙂
