Dr Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Deep Cream: Review

I love trying out new skincare products. I truly believe you never know if a product will work for you unless you give it a try.
Personally, I have combination skin, which is prone to breakouts and is starting to show fine lines and wrinkles.
A while ago I was contacted by Skinstation to see if I would like to try out Dr Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Deep Cream. It sounded like a really good cream and one I couldn’t wait to try out.
Who is Skinstation?
Skinstation is part of the Aesthetic Skin Clinic group and offers a range of skincare products to help complement their treatments.
All of the brands they sell on their website have been specifically chosen for their skincare benefits. They are the most comprehensive seller of Obagi in the UK. While they also stock science led brands such as: Dr Levy Switzerland, Dr Dennis Gross, Skinceuticals, IS Clinical and MZ Skin.
They can even offer skincare advice services at their clinics. Which is perfect for people who aren’t sure what products would suit their skin.
What’s more, when it comes to pricing they offer some of the most competitive prices on the market for all the products they sell.
Dr Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Deep Cream
I was kindly sent the Dr Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Deep Cream. This is a cream that can be used both morning and night, across the face, neck and décolleté.
It is said to offer a whole host of benefits. While it is powered by Dr Dennis Gross’ proprietary energy complex, 3-O C vitamin C technology and collagen amino acids.
Within the ingredients of the cream, you will find items such as; camellia japonica seed, sunflower seed, and rice bran. While the benefits include; lasting hydrating, skin barrier repair and reduction of trans-epidermal water loss. Alongside reviving the skin and helping it look more plumped, energized and brighter.
My Thoughts
I have been really impressed with the Dr Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Deep Cream. I will admit I’ve been mainly using it at night, as I had an open day cream which I was working through already (plus it doesn’t contain an SPF).
It has a light fragrance, which dissipates quickly after application. The cream itself is light and silky and easily absorbed into the skin.
I’ve been struggling with my skin since I was in the hospital last year. It quickly becomes quite tight and itchy quickly. However, I’ve found this cream really helps soothe and hydrate my skin at the end of the day.
On top of that, I’ve definitely noticed when I’m using this regularly it does lead to my skin looking plumper and brighter.
This is one of those products, where a little goes a long way. I have found this product is still going and I’ve already been using it for at least a couple of months.
However, there is a downside to this product; the price. It comes in at £77 and while, thanks to the results I would say it is worth it and if you can afford to spend that much on a cream go for it. It is also going to be out of a lot of people’s budget.

I LOVE this product but cannot find it anywhere. Was it discontinued? I’ve been using it for years – so disappointed…
Hey, I had a quick google and found it avaliable at Selfridges but there was only one left in stock. I have noticed that a couple of pages are redirecting to the product: Dr. Dennis Gross Vitamin C + Lactic Dewy Deep Cream – so I am wondering if it’s had a bit of a rebrand to a new name, espechially if you look at SkinStation’s listing it has the Collagen Deep Cream name in the description, but the listing name is Lactic Dewy Deep Cream. Also Lactic Acid promotes collagen production, so it would be linked in the name there. I can’t be 100% sure of course, but I would try looking at the Lactic Dewy Deep Cream as a similar alternative at least.
I like the sound of its benefits, but it is a shame that it does not containg SPF
Yes, I have to admit those without an SPF I normally use only at night and then use a day cream with SPF in the morning.
Very interesting. I have sensitive skin so I’m always on the look out for new products!
It’s so hard at times isn’t it when you have sensitive skin to know what to use.
I am always trying to find a solution for my menopausal skin which has gone haywire lately!

I’d definitely like to give it a try! I too have combination skin though just recently it as started t o feel a bit tight and itchy. Sounds like this might be just what my skin needs.
I hate the tight itchy feeling, for some reason out of all the ways my skin can feel that one is the worst.
oh Wow – My skin would look phenomenal if I used this.. my ageing skin is beginning to resemble something that needs ironing.
Oh no, it is a really good moisturiser, I’m almost at the bottom of the tub and very sad about it.
Getting older and this looks like a great cream to try

They definitely have come up with a good cream, I feel sad that my tub is almost gone, I might have to save for another one.

My skin is certainly showing the signs of aging, so it would be great to try, but it’s totally out of my price range.

Honestly, I’ve been so impressed by it. It just really seems to work well with my skin.
At the moment I just use a moisturising cream and I am quite happy with that, but different people have different needs at different ages
Definitely – our skin changes as well age a lot. I find as well I need something more moisturising in winter compared to summer.
Sound like a good cream – never heard of it before. Might give it a try if it’s reasonable
@Pamtay oops £77 is a bit too expensive for me
It is very expensive, which is why I put it in as a downside. That said I really can say it is worth it, as long as it is within your budget. It’s one I may have to save up for over winter perhaps and use something cheaper and lighter over summer.
If it wasn’t for the price tag I think I would have definitely given it a try. I have combination skin too so I’m always getting breakouts on my forehead. Yet my cheeks can get dry very quickly.
I’m pretty similar though my breakouts are around my chin. My cheeks can get dry, while the rest of my face is an oily mess. I might look into trying to find something similar or save up to have this over winter at least.

It is definitely worth it – but it’s going to put it out of so many people’s budgets which is a shame.
