BlindsbyPost Review
PR Sample – I received the roller blinds in this post from BlindsbyPost for consideration on my blog.
It has been 6 or 7 years since we moved into the bungalow. Yet we never managed to get any covering up on the kitchen windows. The main reason is the fact there are two windows in the kitchen. The first faces into the garden and the second into the back porch.
This second window had very little space to have anything put up at it, due to its location. However, last year when we had the windows replaced, I asked for this particular window to have frosted glass.
So with frosted glass now covering that strange second window, it felt like a good time to get a blind for the main window.
Who are BlindsbyPost?

Launched in 2008 BlindsbyPost are based in Bradford, West Yorkshire, where they both design and create the blinds they sell.
They believe in quality at a good price and sell to both homes and offices across the UK and Ireland.
They might not be the biggest supplier of blinds, they aim to be the best. Priding themselves on quality and customer service.
Flores Autumn Roller Blind

It took me a bit of time to decide on exactly which blind to go for as BlindsbyPost have a huge range of interesting prints and patterns, alongside blocked colour. In the end, I narrowed it down to the Flores design.
This comes in a spring or autumn colourway, with the spring version having a more vibrant colour palette of pinks and blues.
Getting a quote for your blind is easy, all you need to know is the width and drop you are after, then enter it into your chosen blinds webpage. This will give you an instant price for your chosen style, with no added extras.
After this, you can choose how the blind will hang, along with control size and style. Some chain options will add to the price, but this is clearly marked. Once you are happy with your choice all you need to do is check out.
BlindsbyPost will also give you an estimated delivery time, both for standard and fast-track delivery.
Fitting Your Blind

As is probably very obvious I had no hand in fitting the blinds, so this job was left to my Dad and Ash.
Along with your blinds, you will receive the fittings, however, you won’t receive any screws. This confused me at first, but after speaking to BlindsbyPost and my Dad it makes sense. Depending on where and how you hang your blind you will need different screws. As such BlindsbyPost decided it made more sense to not include the screws and allow everyone to buy the right ones for the job.
They also are cutting down on paper usage and have taken the blind fitting instructions online.
With all this in mind, you are going to want to pre-prepare to hang your blind. Heading to the shop (or checking your toolbox) for the correct screws, and reading the instructions online before beginning.
Once we had everything together the blind was hung up within around 30 minutes. The process itself once you have everything in hand is simple, with the blind simply clipping into the fittings to hang safely in your chosen location.
Overall Thoughts

We were impressed with the quality of the fabric used on this blind. While it offered a simple to-fit installation process.
BlindsbyPost had obviously thought through the whole process from start to finish well.
If you aren’t sure what fabric would work best in your room, a free sample service is offered. These are offered on all fabrics and are sent within 24 hours.
This particular blind was 126cm x 116cm with a gunmetal chain, which has an RRP of £68.02 + postage. (The price starts at £25.34 however).

were there any kind of instructions on which screws to use? My whole flat needs new blinds, I keep putting it off
I think they are included in the online instructions its mostly the type of screw you need for what you are fixing it to so wood, brick etc..
I like this blind, it seems good quality and easy to fit. Weird about the screws but yes i understand why now you’ve explained.
It really is such good quality and it really finishes off the room at last as well.
these look nice! Thanks for the link to the website.
You are welcome they are a really good quality blind.
I’ve not considered ordering blinds to fit myself as I usually get the wrong sized drill bit for the raw plug and screw when I attempt to put anything up. However, the price for your pretty blind is very reasonable so I may to think again.
You buy all those bits after the blind so you could always take the blind with you to ask advice in the shop to get the right bits!
Wonderful blinds and 24 hours turn around – that seems like great service to me
It is a great service they offer and really good quality blinds at the end as well.
I think you’ve chosen a lovely design and the price is quite reasonable too. I’m going to have a look at the BlindsbyPost website as I’d like to have blinds but have never been able to find any to fit my seemingly non standard size windows
Our windows are all the same and it’s an absolute nightmare to get anything “off the shelf” so a service like this is perfect.
I love the design you chose, and it seems very good value!
Thank you – it is a really nice design I have to say – it was a hard choice though.
Very interesting.I love the blind you chose and I was surprised it was such a reasonable price
It’s not a bad price at all – we bought one for the bathroom when we were having the wetroom put in and the price of some is just crazy! I couldn’t believe it – for the window size of this one, it was really good value.
Looks lovely and so much better you do not have to trim to size.
Definitely, I’m sure I remember my Dad having to saw them down in the past to fit!
I really need to start looking for blinds. We have moved into our flat for over 4 years now but we still need to find a solution to our floor to ceiling windows in our living room. It gets so bright in the morning because we’re east facing. I’m always worried that the blinds are easy to break with children so still trying to figure it out
Oh gosh, big windows are a nightmare aren’t they? We have pretty big ones in our lounge and bedroom and buying anything for them is a total nightmare.
These sound like excellent value and you have chosen a lovely design
Thank you and yes they are really good value for money, especially as they are all ready to go!
