Wandini Review – A Light-Up Toy That Feels Like Magic
AD – This post contains a sample I was sent by Wicked Uncle for consideration on my blog.
If you are on the hunt for a gift that instantly gets a “whoa!” reaction, then the Wandini from Wicked Uncle might just be one of the coolest things you’ve seen in a while.
Designed for children aged 8+, the Wandini is a rechargeable LED wand that creates a dazzling floating light effect as you spin and twirl it through the air. It has somehow managed to combine toy, magic trick and mini light show all in one. Honestly? It is one of those gadgets that adults end up having just as much fun with, too.
What Is the Wandini?

The Wandini is a 60cm LED wand attached to a hidden finger loop and cord. Once switched on, you can whirl it around to create the illusion that the wand is floating and dancing in the air on its own. It comes with 22 different light modes and colour combinations, giving every spin a different look and effect.
It is rechargeable via USB, too, which is always a win in my eyes because it means no frantic battery hunts five minutes before bedtime.
First Impressions
Straight away, this feels like one of those gifts children rush outside with the second it starts getting dark. The colourful lights are bright without being overwhelming, and the movement creates some genuinely impressive effects.
What I really liked is that it does not take ages to figure out; within a few minutes, you can already create some fun spins and floating tricks, and the more you play around with it, the more confident you get and the more impressive stunts you can pull off.
There is something oddly satisfying about it as well; it is a mix of hypnotic, chaotic, and you will definitely start thinking, “Look at me accidentally becoming a glow-stick wizard in the garden.”
Why Kids Will Love It

The Wandini hits that sweet spot between active play and something that feels genuinely magical. It encourages movement, creativity and showing off silly tricks to friends and family instead of just sitting staring at a screen.
A few standout features include:
- 22 colourful LED light modes
- Rechargeable battery with up to 3 hours of play
- Floating illusion effect using the hidden loop
- Lightweight and easy to use
- Brilliant for evenings, parties, sleepovers and garden fun
It is the kind of toy that feels especially fun during spring and summer evenings when it gets dark later.
A Gift That Feels a Bit Different
One thing I always like about Wicked Uncle is that their gifts tend to feel a little more unusual than the standard toy aisle finds, and the Wandini definitely falls into that category. It feels unique, memorable and just genuinely fun.
I can absolutely see this being a huge hit for birthdays, especially for children who love gadgets, magic tricks, lights or anything a little bit quirky.
Final Thoughts

The Wandini is colourful, clever and surprisingly addictive to play with, it is simple enough for children to pick up quickly, but still impressive enough to make them feel like they are performing actual magic tricks.
If you are looking for a gift with a real wow-factor, this one is definitely worth a look.
You can find the Wandini at Wicked Uncle, where it costs £21.99.
