Fun Etsy Gift Guide Summer 2024

With summer here, I thought it would be fun to put together some interesting ideas from Etsy that might just be the perfect item as a gift for you or a friend. I’ve tried to include a mix of people I’ve shown before as well as thrown in some hopefully new crafters and shops you might come to love as well.

So without me rambling more here are 8 of my favourite picks from Etsy.

Lion Mane by Holly Ash Tree

HollyAshTree is one of those Etsy stores that sells out quickly, in fact, while writing this post a few have gone out of stock. However, I thought it would be nice to include her as I do love her work.

All her items are made in small batches in her own kiln and then hand-painted in beautiful detail. This particular release is all about the green man and is perfect for summer.

Lion Mane comes in at £42 and for the time and effort that must have gone into him, that is incredible!

Painted Bird Cups by Craft as a Brush Art

Craft As A Brush Art is a wonderful artist I am sure I have included on the blog before. I own one of their highland cow pieces and it is just beautiful.

One of the things I love is how they use all different types of wood to paint on and I thought this set of cups was just something that had to be shared.

This trio of cups features a Wren, Starling and Robin all common visitors to many British gardens and comes in at £30.

Rapeseed Candle by Natural Chandler

It’s no secret that I love a good candle and Natural Chandler has some wonderful ones. From pillar candles to tea lights and some really fun shapes too!

All their candles are made from Rapeseed, which is a biodegradable wax and the pillar candles (including this one) are unscented. These as such, make a wonderful gift idea for someone who loves the ambience of candles but not the scent.

Recycled Cotton Seal Tote Bag by Moon Seals

A lovely handmade business I bring up a lot is Moon Seals, they not only make the most beautiful seal item but also donate to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary with each purchase.

With a lot of people trying to be more eco-friendly their 100% recycled cotton tote bags are a must. After all, they are perfect for everyday use, from going to the shops to a picnic in the park (or visiting the Seal Sanctuary).

Blacksmith Lily by Firehound Forge

I came across Firehound Forge at a craft fair last Christmas and their items are just beautiful. I personally got myself a little trinket dish, however, I had to admire these beautiful flowers and thought it would be perfect to share with you.

Hand forged in Derbyshire a lot of the items are made to order so do order at least a week in advance if buying for a gift, however, they are well worth it!

The Blacksmith Lily comes in at £40.

Silver Butterfly Trinket Box from Wilde Swans

As well as offering a great place to find handmind items Etsy also offers a range of antiques. I was recently introduced to Wilde Swans who have recently opened and are selling some beautiful antique items.

Run by someone who loves to hunt for those perfect hidden treasures, this Etsy shop is bound to hold some incredible finds. I personally loved this little silver butterfly trinket box with its 3D butterfly and red lining it is just so pretty.

Happy Cups by Millies Ceramics  

Honestly, can you look at these mugs from MilliesCeramics and not smile? Available in a choice of 5 colours, you might just need to complete the set!

Each of the cups has been handmade with buff stoneware clay and holds 250ml of liquid. As this is a handmade piece it does need handwashing, but to have your morning brew in it each day I think it’s worth it!

The Happy Cups come in at £22 each.

Bat Plush by Hectic Hallows

Hectic Hallows makes these absolutely adorable bat plushes, offered in a range of fabric colours and patterns as well as sizes, these are an absolute must for any bat lover.

This particular bat comes in at around 7 inches tall, and has lovely floppy wings and mismatched ears (could he get any more adorable).
