Summer Swimming Staples from Cotton Traders
PR Samples – I was kindly sent the items in this post from Cotton Traders for consideration on my blog.
Are you planning your beach holiday for this? Going to be spending time sunning yourself by the pool, or just heading down to the local leisure centre? Then here are some wonderful summer ideas from Cotton Traders.
Scoop Neck Tankini Top

I am a sucker for a good tankini – I just find them really comfortable to wear and easier to put on and take off than a one-piece these days. Cotton Traders have a few different styles of tankini tops, both in prints and block colours. I decided to go for a blouson style, which can be quite flattering to the body shape. This particular top comes in navy or a bright jade – which is a stunning colour, but sadly out of stock.
This top offers a fitted panel to the hem, which means you don’t have to worry about it riding up, while the scoop neck is slightly gathered. What’s more, it has inbuilt support, which I felt was comfortable and supportive. I would personally say these come in true to size.
Part of the fun of this range is you can mix and match between tops and bottoms, to create the swimming outfit of your choice. For instance, you could choose to match this with swimming shorts or a swim skirt.
The Scoop Neck Tankini Top comes in at £29.
Tummy Control Swim Shorts

Hands up I probably went the most boring route with my choices as I decided to go for a matching colour tummy control swim short. For a long time, I wore swimming dresses just as they offered that extra coverage, however, I feel like swim shorts also offer that too.
These particular ones again are really comfortable and I feel like I could maybe even have sized down. Again they are available in a range of block colours and a couple of patterns, in fact, I’ve just noticed a floral navy design which would go well with the navy top.
Both of these items need to be hand washed and I can definitely see myself picking up extras as they come in at a reasonable price and a good quality.
The Tummy Control Swim Shorts come in at £15.
Relaxing at The Beach

If you are looking for the perfect outfit to help you relax and the bar, or down at the beach then how about this? You might recognise the printed kimono from my Pattern Park Edit post, and I thought it worked wonderfully with this V-Neck T-Shirt (£9) an absolute staple for any wardrobe and a pair of Twill Crop Trousers (£33). Could get any more summer ready?
What do you think of these items from Cotton Traders, do they get you in the summer mood?

The tummy control swim shorts area smashing idea!
That kimono is absolutely gorgeous. I do love a tummy control pair of swimsorts. Great choices.
They are a must aren’t they haha! These ones are so comfortable as well, I’ve found before the waist band can be small and feel so tight while the rest is a bit baggy but these have it spot on.
It’s great to hear of a range that is well made and flattering without being expensive. That kimono is so bright and summery!
Definitely I feel like swimwear can be so expensive at times!
@Sarah-Louise Bailey,
Even more so if it is marketed as being ‘special’ in any way. For instance made for larger ladies, those with mastectomies etc. That’s pretty general in fact, label something as being a disability aid and stick an extra 0 on the end of the price!
It is crazy how much they add, isn’t it? Everything is just so much more just because you need something “special” it is just crazy how much more life costs when you have a disability.
Well, top marks to all those of you willing to bare your flesh! I am full of admiration. I think I may have a swimming costume – somewhere. But in the summer I usually sport a pair of long baggy shorts and sleeveless top!
I have to admit I only do so at the spa, pool or hydrotherapy haha!

I am looking for a new tankini as I find them more flattering than swimsuits x
There is just something about them isn’t there? I never thought I would wear a two piece but tankinis changed my mind.
Now that is a cool look. I love the opposing colours of blue and orange and I’m still admiring how pretty that kimono is
It is lovely isn’t it – I thought since I didn’t have it for the last post it was a good time to include it in this one.
I need to check out the cotton traders range this season
Definitely they have some really nice things going on!
I have bought dresses from Cotton Traders and always been pleased with the quality and price and I would love to try the swim shorts
Honestly I’m really impressed by them – they are longer than I thought they would be from the images and just feel so comfortable.
