4 Hobbies That You Could Make Money From – Here’s How
AD
Everyone’s got a hobby, whether it is collecting something, building something, or just unwinding with a video game at the end of the workday. However, not everyone knows how to turn their hobby into something that will pay the bills at the end of the day, nearly every single hobby can be monetised, and while they might not give you the cash you need to quit your day job, it can be fun to get paid for having fun!
Here are some of the best hobbies that you can make money from, and how to get started!
Creating Art

Whether you like to paint, draw, scrapbook, or make models as your hobby, why not sell what you make? There are plenty of artists online who do commission work or just create one artistic item and then mass-produce it for their customers. Nearly every single type of artwork, including online drawing, can be turned into a business to produce it efficiently while maintaining high quality. There are online platforms that make it easier than ever for artists to engage in online drawing as a viable business venture.
Now in order to make sure you don’t burn yourself out or drive yourself crazy making art for customers with deadlines, make sure to pace yourself, only take on one art project at a time, and also make sure to do your best with each project.
Brewing Craft Beer

Whether you want to open your own brewery, or if you are just making craft beer for yourself, you can turn it into some money. However, the biggest problem with brewing craft beer is that you need to invest time and money into the process of brewing the beer. But if you care about the beer you are making, then you will certainly enjoy the craft beer business.
Craft breweries are all about making high-quality beers and small-scale production, and you can very easily make some amazing craft beer all with small batches. Then if you want to expand your production and grow your craft beer business, you can use a website like Ollie to help you out.
Blogging And Writing

If you love to write and have topics that you care about, why not start a blog and write about them? Blogging can be pretty easy to do in terms of content if you have a lot to say and know how to bang out a lot of written content quickly. There are plenty of ways to make money while blogging and writing online, mostly from getting advertisements and sponsorships from other websites, in fact, there are a number of sponsored post networks you can sign up to help get the ball rolling.
While you can start out writing about your various hobbies or things that you like, it can also be very helpful to learn about things like SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and keywords. Basically, the more that you make every single post friendlier to Google and other search engines, the better chances your blog has to make it mainstream and get seen.
Photography

If you’ve got a phone with a decent enough camera, then you can go around taking photos that are pretty good quality and don’t need a ton of editing or other work. Additionally, photography can be a great way to get outside, see the sights of the world, and it can also have you seeing the world in a brand new light.
You can easily get paid both online as well as by people you know and those in your area to take photos of them, and can then expand those contacts into a thriving business!
It is going to take some hard work to make any hobby a thriving side business, but if you take your time and work hard, you will be able to make a lot of money while also having a ton of fun!

I really miss my Etsy shop, I had 2000 sales last year and closed after a super busy xmas I needed time out to re-evaluate as I had fallen out of love with my craft a bit and just haven’t reopened. I have taken up crochet recently and am really enjoying that
You will have to let me know if you do reopen I would love to have a look at it!
Some great ideas here, especially craft beer I didn’t even think of that xx
This is really interesting – although I am the person who manages to superglue my fingers together if I try to do anything!
Some great ideas! I’m not very creative but hopefully there’s something I could turn my hand to
I’m sure there is something you could do! Sometimes it just takes some thinking about.
I do enjoy writing – though it can be a slow process. And I’m not sure I could make money from it. I don’t really feel I have anything to say that would interest other people! :/
You never know – if you enjoy it, it might be worth trying.
My hobby is play the games and I’ve got money from games competition.
Oh wow that is amazing, congratulations.
Ditto Pamtay. I love drawing from inspiration but once it becomes a business and I have to draw because someone demands it, then I lose the joy in drawing
I think it is quite common isn’t it? When something turns into a job the fun just disappears from it.
I love crafting but to make anything on a commercial scale would take away. The joy. Another idea for the green fingered is raising plants from seed and selling
I think that happens to a lot of people something that was once fun can become a nightmare.
ive always wanted to be able to paint, but i just cant lol, i cant draw either. best i ever did was a stick man lol
I am absolutely awful at drawing I just have no talent when it comes to that form of art at all.
I’ve always wanted to be a photographer and signed up to do a course when I was a teenager, sadly I dropped out of college before I had a chance to do it!
I hope one day you get to have some fun with your camera, it is never too late!
