Blue Rimmed Rectangular Glasses from Specscart
PR Sample – I was sent a pair of Blue Rimmed Glasses from Specscart for consideration on my blog.
One thing about glasses is they can be so expensive. So, if you are looking to buy a pair of fashionable frames without breaking the bank Specscart is an online (and high street) glasses retailer to look into.
Specscart

A fast-growing British start-up Specscart are all about changing the landscape when it comes to glasses. They want to make them feel like fashion accessories and a way to show off your style, as well as being a functional have-to-wear item.
To do this they offer more affordable priced frames, which can be made up with a prescription or as fashion lenses. They even offer free eye tests in their high street stores, to really make sure everyone has access to the right prescription.
Blue Rimmed Rectangular Glasses

I was kindly allowed to choose a pair of glasses to have a look at myself and I went for the Blue Rimmed Rectangular Glasses. These are made by Tom Archer and are a unisex style.
They have been made out of bio-acetate and have a classic rectangular shape. For that comfort level, they have a robust spring hinge, and light frames.
The glasses can be fitted with single-vision, varifocal and non-prescriptive lenses. You can also choose to have fully loaded clear anti-reflective UV + lenses or a blue light coating on certain lenses for £15.
When it comes to colour, these glasses when they catch the light have a beautiful blue hue, they do look darker in dull light.
Many of the frames can be tried at home to see if you really like the frame once they are on as well. This is a free service and really gives you a chance to see if the frames will suit you.
My Thoughts

You might be thinking “but you wear contacts Sarah, due to your Keratoconus” and you’re right I do. However, you remember in films when people would be scrabbling around the floor looking for something and pretend it was a contact lens and everyone’s like no, that never happens.
Let me tell you it happens. I wear RPG lenses and my right eye likes to eject my lens at the most inappropriate moments.
I’ve lost it on the floor in McDonalds, down a muddy lane and in the back garden, (not to mention, in the cinema) at times it is never seen again.
It quite quickly became obvious that if I wore sunglasses they would catch the lens, however, it isn’t possible to wear sunglasses all the time, so I started looking into fashion glasses.
One thing I noticed quite quickly was that cheap fashion glasses do not offer good vision. The lenses just aren’t clear enough and I didn’t feel like I could wear them all the time.
So I turned to online websites that sold prescription glasses. However, a lot, when you ask for non-prescription say “no we don’t do that.”
So finding a website like Specscart that offers non-prescriptive lenses, with anti-reflective, UV-coated, crystal-clear lenses, is perfect.
I was really impressed with the glasses I received, for the cost they are very sturdy and came with a case, glasses cleaner and a glasses tool.
Personally, I will definitely be turning to Specscart when I need more glasses and I am very thankful to find a company that offers non-prescription lenses that offer a clear vision.
The Blue Rimmed Rectangular Glasses come in at £39.99.
What do you think of these frames and the idea behind Specscart, do you like them?

I really love these and I love the colour. I am due new glasses so will have a look at this site
brilliant, I am constantly breaking mine because I am naughty and leave them on in bed and then roll onto them in the night!
I’m bang on trend – and have been for months! How funny! Last year I bought myself two new pairs of glasses as my optical prescription had changed. I chose blue frames and square lenses – even though it’s a colour I’ve never really gone for before. Spooky!
Ohh love that – I have to admit I often get square or rectangular frames, round ones show how round my face is.
I’m often put off of getting my eye checks due to the cost. These are brilliant!
It is so much isn’t it? If you are near a shop I would definitely suggest popping in!
Ive never heard of this company until now, sounds really good value.
I was really pleased to find they were UK based as well I have to admit.
These look brilliant, my prescription usually costs me around £200
It is crazy how much they can come to! I love they also have a couple of high street shops so you can actually go in and browse too.
Those glasses look so similar to mine and my glasses without the prescription was £69 alone. It is definitely a great idea to make glasses more affordable and with a stylish selection too
It’s so hard isn’t it – prescription charges are crazy – I think mine are £200 per lens these days or something stupid like that and I can’t even really see out them but it makes that little bit of difference that I feel more comfortable just walking around when I can’t use my lenses.
They soumd like an innovative company that will shake the market up a bit
Definitely I was really impressed by the idea of how they came around!
I love the look of your glasses. I wear glasses all the time and although I don’t go for the most expensive frames the lenses I need are very expensive. It would be lovely to have more than one pair of glasses without breaking the bank
The lenses always make such a difference in price don’t they? It is crazy how much they can come in at.
