September 21st – Life After a Lockdown #77
So this week has bought more talks of people having a third “top-up” vaccine before the winter. While there have been new rules bought in for people travelling abroad. The green and amber lists are becoming one, while the red list is being made shorter. So if you are travelling into or out of England it is worth rechecking the rules.
Anyway..
On With The Linky!
Starting off I must say a huge thank you to Bex from Futures for joining me each week as my co-host and of course Jenni at Lyrical Host (affiliate link) for kickstarting the idea!
If you would like to take part, it’s simple:
We ask that you give both Bex and I a link back in your post, as hosts of the linkup and you can copy the questions below.
After that; all you need to do is pop back to mine or Bex’s post and add your link in the inlinkz.
1. How are you feeling/coping?
2. What have you been up to over the past 7 days? Are you living life as normal, being cautious or still being very careful?
3. What’s a helpful tip you would like the future to know about living in / or after a pandemic?
4. What tips do you have for others when out and about?
5. What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?
6. What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
7. What has made you smile this week?
8. Anything else you would like to mention?

So what did week 77 hold:
1) How are you feeling/coping?
I’m doing OK at the moment, it definitely felt good to have spent some time away, I don’t feel quite so claustrophobic, yet anyway.
I was expectedly very tired last week, which always leaves me a bit in the zone of, was going away worth it? However, I’m sure I’ll come around from that.
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days? Are you living life as normal, being cautious or still being very careful?
I didn’t do anything, I should have had physio on Friday, however, a neighbour had been having some garden work where they used a wood shredder. Sadly vibrations really affect me and with the bungalow shaking each time it was used I spend the next few days in pretty bad shape.
Luckily I was able to reschedule for Monday (or so I thought) as that was then cancelled. Ah well.
I also spent some of the week swapping over my theme – I have had a few people say it looks too plain, so I would love to hear your thoughts.
3) What’s a helpful tip you would like the future to know about living in / or after a pandemic?
Sometimes getting out there and doing something, even if you feel worried at the time, can make you feel better in the long run.
4) What tips do you have for others when out and about?
Don’t be afraid for heading to less busy places, even if that means crossing the road.
5) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?
I do struggle with my sleep so I always find it interesting when someone asks me to write on the topic. As such I have to go for my Sleep, The Pandemic, Memory and Me post.
6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
Lyrical Host’s help when I managed to mess up some aspects of changing my theme! For sure.
7) What has made you smile this week?
Chocolate – although I have probably eaten WAY too much of this week too.
8) Anything else you would like to mention?

Three things in life I can rely on and which make me smile : perfume, pasta and pussycats!
Aww, I love this the three Ps – who doesn’t love cats as well.
In my field of work, we had to do office during lockdown. That actually was fine for me because I hated being in the lockdown.
That is good – I think it probably helped a lot of people to be able to go to work in some form.
I think we have all eaten too much chocolate, crisps, and jelly babies!!
Ohh jelly babies I’ve not had those for ages!
It’s hard knowing we are still in a pandemic. Things don’t seem to be looking up to much lately, which can be scary. I just hope it gets better soon.
Definitely – sometimes I really don’t know what the right thing to do is when it comes to staying in or going out.
I generally feel ok but I do feel sad from time to time. I do try my best to stay positive though.
It is hard isn’t it – the world just isn’t the same and it feels like we are missing out on a lot.
It is still a tough year and we live uncertain times. We don’t know when it will finally end and we’ll get to normal.
Definitely – I hope one day it will – it is very strange living like this.
Oh no, sounds like you are as good as me with the theme chnages. Lyrical host are great, they seem to be able to fix everything thankfully. I’m so grateful that you recommended them to me years ago x
Aw, you are welcome I am glad you find them helpful!
Haha, I can a little bit but then I get myself all in a mess.
I had always loved hearing from you. Glad you’re always doing great.
Aww thank you so much that is so kind of you to say!
I could use some chocolate. I have given up sweets as part of this 6 week challenge I’m a part of at a local gym. It’s so hard!
Oh gosh, good luck! You can do it, an amazing challenge to put on yourself.
I am wondering where things will go in the next couple months, especially as far as the variants etc. Hopefully it won’t be too bad, but at least booster shots are in the works.
Definitely, things seem to have settled a little but I have a feeling winter will bring with it another surge.
Not sure you can ever have too much chocolate j/k. It’s always an uplifter though.
Haha I am with you I sometimes think I could live on it.
Haha, chocolate always makes me smile too. It’s why I have a chocolate drawer!
Ohh chocolate draw – to be fair I think you could call part of our fridge the chocolate draw.
