Inner Demons by Lil Shop of Horrors: Review and Competition
I think we are all struggling at the moment in one way or another.
A few weeks ago while I was in the depths of not knowing what to do to help myself, I was contacted by Kirsy from Lil Shop of Horrors and asked if I would like to have a look at one of her Inner Demons.
As someone who was and is struggling with their inner demons and loves small businesses, I was really excited to have a look.
Inner Demons.
Kirsty herself suffers from OCD and anxiety, and she came up with the inner demon as a way to represent those demons we all have. Everyone’s inner demon is different for you it might represent depression, BPD, bipolar, an eating disorder or any of the other mental health conditions out there.
The idea behind them is to have a small physical manifestation of your demon. Allowing you to take it out on the demon rather than yourself.
Lil Shop of Horrors has sold over 1000 of their demons and has excitingly copyrighted her design. Feedback from her customers shows that Inner Demons are helping people with their own personal struggles.
My Inner Demon.
With my own inner demon running riot, I was having an absolutely awful day when mine arrived. I remember turning to Ash and saying its OK he’s been bottled now and laughing.
That laugh made such a difference to me that day. It was something small, yet it was felt like a hand being held out which said it’s OK I understand.
Personally as well I’ve found having that visual manifestation has helped me. I can’t explain exactly how or why, but it has. Perhaps as it offers in some situations an alternative to self-deprecating behaviours.

My fave item from your little shop of horrors is the print of the bunny skull holding a balloon! My fave colour is pink and I love how it contrasts the sweet with the scary!
I smiled so much when I saw this! I absolutely love it. I often talk about my demons and how I would like to be friends with them one day instead of feel like they rule me. To take it out the mind and have a physical object is an epic idea. Id talk to it while it sat down at the table about how I would like it to behave better! Being able to voice my feelings and make sense of them would be so much easier if I could talk to ny demon friends!!!! Love it!
