Wearth London: Review
Last week I spoke about how I am trying to slowly make steps towards being more eco-friendly in my shopping choices.
Today I have teamed up with Wearth London a company who are making it simple to shop your values.
But exactly who are they?
Who are Wearth London?
Wearth London are a company who formed in 2017. They were founded by Imogen and Ed, who both like to shop more consciously. However, they found the choices available limited, so decided to start an online shopping location to help people buy ethically and responsibly.
Just 3 years later they are partnered with 200 UK based brands alone (in fact 80% of the items sold on their website are made in the UK). All of whom make a mix of eco-friendly and ethical products. Which cross the categories of beauty, jewellery, home care and so much more.
However, it doesn’t stop there. Wearth makes sure that all the products they offer are vegan friendly and offer a simple shopping experience. You can easily shop by category as normal. However, they also offer the chance shop by values; meaning you can pick to show only plastic-free items, made in the UK or Vegan friendly.
I was kindly sent four products from across the beauty, home and jewellery range to check out from some of their amazing British sellers.
Reconnection Skincare – Natural Deodorant.
One of my first changes, when it came to trying to be more eco-friendly, was deodorant.
I have been having issues this year with my underarms. So it was from that I decided to go more natural. Previously it had been something I had discounted as an option as I do suffer from hyperhidrosis.
However, I have been pleasantly surprised by how well a more natural deodorant works, through the day.
From Wearth London I tried the Reconnection Skincare – Natural Deodorant in Peppermint and Tea Tree, which comes in at £8.
This is a plastic-free product, which has been made in the UK. It is also vegan friendly and handmade using natural and organic ingredients.
I was impressed by this product, when it comes to scent it isn’t overpowering. However, it does offer a nice, enjoyable scent. There are 4 different fragrances available in the range, each one made using essential oils.
Like other natural deodorants I have tried, I found it helped keep odours at bay without the nasties you sometimes find in other deodorants.
For me changing to natural deodorants is definitely something I am going to keep with.
Ollie & Co. – Votive Candle Gift Set.
One of the lovely things about the Wearth website is they offer a wide range of products which make for wonderful gifts.
There are a few different ideas which could be used as gifts included in this post. However, I am kicking it off with the Ollie & Co. Votive Candle Gift Set, which comes in at £22.
This particular set offers an item which is handmade in the UK, with natural and organic ingredients. It also uses sustainable packaging, is plastic-free and vegan friendly.
The set includes 3 votive candles in the “Starry Night” scent.
The Starry Night scent includes the wonderful mixed fragrance of: eucalyptus, Peppermint, Rosemary, Orange, Citronella, Aniseed & Thyme.
Each of the three candles has a burn time of around 12 hours. Due to the fact, the candles are made with natural ingredients colour may differ slightly, however, I think this only adds to their charm.
Interestingly they have been made using a unique blend of unique soya and rapeseed vegetable oil. Which makes even the candle itself sustainable.
Personally I really love these candles, they smell amazing, have a great throw and this set offers up the perfect gift idea.
Atypical Thing – Personalised Initial Ingot Necklace.
As I mentioned, Wearth also includes a range of sustainable jewellery from different companies. All of which are beautifully made and make for the perfect gift idea.
This particular necklace is the Atypical Thing Personalised Initial Ingot Necklace, which comes in at just £30.
It uses recycled sterling silver to make the initial ingot and comes packaged in pip boxes and biodegradable tissue paper.
Of course, it has been handmade right here in the UK and is plastic free too!
Personally I absolutely adore the look of this necklace. I love that it comes across as handmade and as such unique. Just look at that shape!
I feel like it is simple enough to wear every day, yet could really be something special when given as a gift. Plus it really does catch the eye.
It is great to know you can still get beautiful jewellery, while still trying to be sustainable in your buys and it doesn’t have to cost a fortune.
To me, no matter if you are buying this as a gift for yourself or someone else. I think this is a good buy, both in quality, price and the fact you are buying a more sustainable product, which uses recycled elements.
Buff Natural Bodycare – Create Your Own Personalised Gift Box.
I said there would be quite a few wonderful gift ideas in this post and I wasn’t making it up.
Here we are with yet another one, this time it is Buff Natural Bodycare and their Create Your Own Personalised Gift Box coming in at £27.95.
This particular gift box is handmade in the UK, using natural material. It is, of course, vegan-friendly, plastic-free and in parts uses recycled material. What’s more, with each sale a donation is made to The Marine Conservation Society & Surfers Against Sewage.
Buff does a whole host of these wonderful gift boxes. All of which can be personalised to the inner lid. Some of them come with a range of products from the same scent group.

However, I had a bit of fun playing with their create your own range choosing a couple of different scents to try. Which allows you to pick a body scrub, body oil and candle from their range of scents which includes;
UP – to energise and uplift.
BODY – to soothe and regenerate.
NIUT – to warm and relax.
NAKED – to relax and add in a sensual feeling.
MAMA – a gentle blend which can be used from the 2nd trimester onwards.
I personally went for the sea salt body scrub it UP, the body oil in BODY and the candle in NAKED. Which I think made for an amazing mix.
The body scrub in UP was perfect to help uplift my mood when need be. Thanks to its beautiful mix of spearmint, rosemary and cedarwood.
While the body oil in BODY helps relax tired and sore muscles and with its mix of cypress, juniper berry, lavender and cedarwood it is of little surprise.
Last but not least comes the BODY candle. Which fills the room with its rich and warming scent and offers 20 hour burn time.
BODY offers a tension relieving mix of; clary sage, rosewood and ylang-ylang and sandalwood. Which I think is pretty on point for an autumn scent as well.
Overall Thoughts.
Personally I have not only become a fan of Wearth but each brand I was lucky enough to try.
I love how easy shopping with Wearth London is. The fact they simply lay out how and why each brand is more eco-friendly and the categories they fall into is a simple yet, brilliant idea.
I’ve long been a fan of trying to shop local and the fact that Wearth offer so many brands from the UK is also a huge deal to me. I can see this becoming a website I not only shop at for myself but also turn to for presents.
Wearth is definitely going to be on my top websites for 2020 and beyond and I am thrilled I was able to come across, try them out and of course share them with you.

That necklace is beautiful. And you’re right, I love its shape and how it looks handmade, almost like those Japanese pottery, unique in its own shape. I actually never knew you can buy jewellery made from recycled sterling silver.

It is well worth giving one a go, there are lots out there to choose from some include baking powder so if you have sensitive skin look for one without that 🙂

Yes, just like cream from a tub with your fingers, it is weird at first, but actually, over time I feel like I have more control over what I am applying.

Your welcome – it is well worth trying a natural deodrant, you will need to give it a week or so for your body to get used to the change though (or so I found).
