Repêchage Beauty from the Sea: Review
Repêchage was another new skincare company for me. Something I always enjoy, as it means I get to find out and try out new products. Which will hopefully be of interest to us all.
For those who like me hadn’t heard of Repêchage before here is a little about them.
Repêchage.

Lydia Sarfati is a beautician, who worked her way up from blending to cosmetics, to working in spas, then finally owning her own spa in the US, which was much loved by celebs.
It was finally in 1980 she put together all she had learned and came up with the Four Layer Facial. Something which was a completely new concept.
This was the start of the Repêchage range, which would combine her longstanding knowledge, with her love of the sea, by harnessing seaweed.
She is now, 40 years on, committed to offering products which truly work for those who use them.
Most of what Repêchage sell is available only through professional skincare centres, spas, medical centres and salons, alongside their website. This is due to the fact Lydia feels that everyone who buys her products should be able to access a professional recommendation on what should work best for their skin issues.
I was kindly sent 3 products which they felt would help my skin to try out.
However, before I get into them here is a recap on my skin type. It is oily, it is also very problematic.
I started getting spots at around 9 or 10 and still have them now in my 30s.
Alongside that, I also struggle with enlarged pores (something that I have managed to get under control this year).
So with that said here, we go.
Hydra Medic® Face Wash For Oily Problem Skin.

I’ve tried face washes made for oily skin before and often found they leave my skin very dry.
So I was interested to see what this one would bring to my skin and I was pleasantly surprised.
With key ingredients such as; seaweed, green tea, rosemary, salicylic acid and more. This cleanser offers a deep cleanse and exfoliation to help remove any built-up dirt while protecting from a greasy feel.
While the addition of seaweed extract and other botanicals help to fight against dryness.
Made to be used twice daily and simple to use with a small amount massaged into wet skin. This face cleanser offers quite an earthy smell when used.
I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised by how this product worked. I found that even with continued daily use this didn’t dry my skin, or leave it feeling tight after use (something which I hate).
However, it did seem to help reduce the oily nature of my skin. which is always a win in my eyes, as well as helping to fight against impurities. My outbreaks are definitely on the decline!
The Hydra Medic® Face Wash comes in at £29.50.
Hydra Refine® Astringent Pads.

For those who suffer from both enlarged pores and oily skin, astringent pads might be something worth trying.
These come already saturated in the product, so all you need to do is pluck one of the pads from the tub and gently clean the skin in outwards and upwards motions.
These pads to look harnessing ingredients such as seaweed, cucumber extracts, lemongrass extract and more.
As I’ve mentioned a few times one thing I have been working on with my skincare is my pores. So this has been a great addition to my routine for me and has 100% seen a great improvement.
In fact, my pores thanks to a mix of different additions have gone from craters to passable. Which has definitely helped me feel a lot better about my skin after all it has been something I have become self-conscious of.
The Hydra Refine® Astringent Pads come in at £31.50.
Hydra Medic® Beta Hydroxy Serum.

Serums are something that has become a big part of my routine. They were something I wasn’t too keen on at first, mainly due to my oily skin, however, they have made a big improvement on skins tone and look.
Before I go further with this one I have to make you aware this serum contains Alpha and Beta hydroxy acids (AHA and BHA). These ingredients can make your skin more sun-sensitive as such if you do use this product yourself, make sure you use sunscreen both during use and for at least a week after to help reduce your risk of sunburn.
As well as the above, key ingredients are; sea plants, green tea, ylang-ylang, basil, lavender and more.
When it comes to usage, you should apply this serum after cleansing in a thin layer, at night. Making sure you keep it away from the eye area.
The idea behind this serum is to make your complexion look more radiant while reducing the look of any dryness.
It offers a lightweight, high-quality serum, which is easily absorbed into the skin.
I feel that this serum definitely had a positive effect on the look of my skin. Which has become more even in tone and looks a lot more cared for.
However, I think for me this is the one product in this review I wouldn’t rebuy. This isn’t down to how it works, but more to do with the sunburn issue. I already have issues with my skin and the sun, as such, long term I think it could cause more issues than it is solving. However, this is a personal issue, not one caused by the product.
If you fancy trying the Hydra Medic® Beta Hydroxy Serum for yourself it comes in at £29.
Key Facts on Repêchage and Conclusion.

There are a few things I always try and find out about products. Repêchage products do not contain animal-derived ingredients and they are not tested on animal.
Many of the ingredients used within the products are of natural origin and most (95%) of their products are Paraben-free (so do check each one if this is an issue for you).
Overall I am impressed with these products, as I said I wouldn’t rebuy the serum, but that is for personal reasons and I did find it to be a good product otherwise. The other two I could definitely see becoming a regular in my skincare routine as they offer a unique product which works.
If you fancy finding out more about these products, trying them for yourself or seeing what other options Repêchage offer do visit their UK or US website.
What do you think of the sound of these products, would you like to try them?

I received the items shown in this post free of charge for the purpose of this review. This, however, doesn’t affect my opinions which are as always honest.
