Treat Republic Printed Face Mask: Review
The world is a very different place to it was at the start of the year.
While we are opening back up slowly, we still need to be careful, we still need to look out for ourselves and each other.
One of the ways we can do that is via the use of face masks.
You might be thinking but unless it is an N95 (and we should be leaving those for professionals) there is little proof it filters out any viruses. Yes, that is true. These aren’t face masks to be used in replacement of medical equipment.
However, wearing a face mask helps protect others. It’s a bit like when we cough we cover our mouths to stop the particles spreading so much.
Imagine if we all wore a mask, to help protect others? The chance of transmission would decrease, as we are keeping our germs more under control. As long as we regularly washed our masks and changed the filters.
However, where can you buy masks?
Treat Republic Masks.
The wonderful Treat Republic, who I have had the pleasure of working with before. Have realised a range of printed face mask.
These masks have been designed with a filter pocket, which fits a PM2.5 perfectly (and are easy to buy online).
The range has been made to bring a smile and give something bright and cheerful to those around us.

How to Wear a Mask.
It might seem like common sense however if you are wondering the best way to wear a mask this is it:
- With clean and disinfected hands insert the filter – it may well be a good idea to wear gloves while doing this, disposing of them after.
- Pick up the mask by the elastic, try not to touch the part that covers your face, and place over ears.
- If needed adjust the face mask to make sure it sits under your chin and across your nose.
- Don’t touch your face!
When it comes for time to remove the mask then:
- Wash and disinfect your hands.
- Remove the mask by the ear loops.
- Place the wash in a bag and tie it up until you can wash it (removing and disposing of the filter first).
What I Think.
While on the whole Ash and I will be staying at home most of the times. If / when we have to visit shops we will definitely look to wear face coverings.
You never know who the person you will come into contact with and who they might be going home to.
We need to not only keep ourselves safe but look to keep those we come into contact with as safe as possible to.

My favourite is the navy art deco, but of course for Halloween the fangs or skeleton masks would be great.
I don’t know what I’m looking forward to when we work out what the ‘new normal’ will be, but in the mean time I am making the most of learning to pickle food, bake bread and cakes and spend time with the family through video calls etc.

I like the Spring Flowers Design the most. I’m shielding and my family live abroad so my long term goal is to go on a plane again. In the short-term going to a little cottage or log cabin would be ideal for a break.

I bought a cute pink mask from eBay, but you need more than one because you have to wash it so often. I love the Rainbow Pattern and the Purple Leopard designs.

I like the geometric star patterned mask best. I wear a mask every time I go out as I’m so worried about catching COVID or being an asymptomatic carrier and accidentally passing it onto someone. When the world becomes more normal, I’m looking forward to travelling to see friends and family living overseas.

I’ve just had a good nosey in the mask section and my first choice would be tartan, but then I noticed “your own artwork” was there, SOOOO of course I’m going for that with a photo of my Mini car on it.

I really like the blue daisies design although they all look good! I reckon my daughter would love the dogs one – so cute! We’re also staying home as much as possible but will need masks for her hospital appointments. The ones we ordered months ago still haven’t arrived so will be taking a look at these ones to see what their order time is like.
They’re all great but my fave is the forget me not mask.

So many lovely ones to choose from but can’t say I’m looking forward to having to wear one but our local surgery is insisting on them. Luckily we live in a quiet village and today marks 11 weeks of age related self isolating. On the whole we have found lots of positives with the experience but really looking forward to meeting up with grandchildren again. You can’t hug on Skype!

I haven’t used a mask, as not really been in locations where I need one. I’m not mocking people who do, but while driving alone in your car ? Really ? Or people with full army issue type gas masks? No I would stick to one like this – a bit fancy.
I LIKE THE GLAM LIPS AND KEEP SMILING DESIGNS,, SO YOU CAN STILL SEE A MOUTH WHERE IT SHOULD BE. AS SOMEONE WHO IS DEAF I AM FINDING THE MASKS VERY DIFFICULT AS I CANNOT READ PEOPLES LIPS.
I was thinking about this – I’ve seen some, where they have put clear plastic where the mouth is to try and help but I would worry it would steam up? I’m not sure if that happens. It must be so hard.

These look lovely and soft. I like the one with the rainbow. I’m back working in school now and up until then, I was using a basic industrial mask that didn’t really do anything but it was better than nothing. Even though we’ve been told we dont need one, there are certain times where we will and the rainbow one is pretty and the children would love to see something amazing, pretty and make them smile.
Hi, I love the I’d rather be playing golf mask. I am now able to play golf which is fantastic, but it is strange not being able to hug my girlfriends before and after a game. I hope one day to be able to have a hug.
