StriVectin Advanced Acids Review
Around 3 weeks ago I wrote my first post on StriVectin, about my first impressions of the brand, after having used them for a week. Now with 4 weeks of use behind me, I am back to give you a more in-depth (if I can) review of what I thought.
StriVectin Advanced Acids Review
Ok, I am going to be honest here, a couple of days after my first impressions went up I was ready to call it quits, I had come up in some huge painful spots. I’m not even kidding my cheeks were so sore and I’m like the WORST person for picking.
So I stopped using it for a couple of days. After thinking of to myself what to do I decided to take a different approach. That was to only use one product at a time. So in the morning, I used the duel response serum, at night the rapid recovery milk and once or twice a week I would use the skin reset mask before bed and skip the milk, following it up just with my normal moisturiser.
For me, this seemed to work and I do wonder if, I was now to start using it as I did to start with, if my skin would cope with it. As such I would be tempted to say to people to work up to using the full regime of the mask once or twice a week alongside the serum and milk twice daily. Start simple and let your skin get used to the new products.
I guess the big question is what did I think of each product? If you missed my first post and want an in-depth look at what each product is for, please do have a look back at it first.
StriVectin Advanced Resurfacing.
I think I said in my first post this was my favourite of the three products and, to be honest, that hasn’t changed. I really like the fact this is so simple to use, taking only 5 minutes, as unless I’m having a facial at a spa, I’m not one to sit around for long with a facemask on. It is, thankfully, easy to wash off, though I must admit I use a konjac sponge to wash it away.
If you would like to try the mask (which if you are to try any of these I totally recommend) it comes in at £39.06 on the StriVectin Amazon store.
StriVectin Advanced Hydration.
I decided this was best used in the morning, after all, it contains Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, which leaves a silky barrier on the skin. Due to this, you want to make sure you apply this only to clean skin. However, it does help make for a good base for makeup, which is why a lot of people do like it. However, as with any type of product do your own research on the ingredients to make sure they sit well with you and your skin.
I didn’t notice any difference straight away to my skin, however, I do think over the course of the weeks it has become more hydrated, with the dry areas seeming to come back to life just a little bit more.
Once again you can buy this from the StriVectin Amazon Store where it costs £49.92.
StriVectin Advanced Recovery.
I really wanted to fall in love with this milk, after all, it sounded like everything my skin needs in a bottle. However, out of the three, I have to admit I just wasn’t so sure about it. I’ll give it its dues it does what it says on the bottle, it is quick to absorb and it is very lightweight. I’m just not sure it and I were meant to be BBFs forever.
The advanced recovery milk comes in at £46.25.
Final Thoughts.
If you’re thinking about buying this range from StriVectin, do some research into the ingredients. If you have sensitive skin, I would be wary about using it all together, to start with. After all, while it is a gentler formula of acid used, it is still acid.
As I said near the start, my personal is, tip if you do decide to use this start off with patch testing, before easing yourself in gently by adding in one product at a time to your skincare regime.
Remember that ingredients in skin care react differently to us all, listen to your skin more than anything.
For me, I would be tempted to rebuy at least 2 of the 3 products, but as a little goes a long way with them, I think that might be a while of yet.
What do you think of the sound of the advanced acids range from StriVectin, would you like to give it a try?

I received the products mentioned in this post free of charge, however, all opinions and thoughts are my own.

I have used a Rodial acid peel before that was really good but have never heard of this brand….sounds good
Great blog and review of these products, STRIVECTIN ADVANCED RESURFACING sounds really good, I always find my hair and skin takes a while to get used to products too
This was a very cool post. I would have never guessed think that acids help our skin, I have to look into these. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
It really depends on the kind of course, but they can be really good for it.
This sounds interesting but my skin is so sensitive I would be wary of trying them
I would definitely say if you gave them a try patch test then bring them into your routine slowly.
I’ve been curious about this product, so this review was so helpful. I also have sensitive skin, so I’m not sure about it for me.
I think they do other ones that perhaps would be better for sensitive skin.
Thanks for the honest review! I have really sensitive skin, so I am not sure about it.
It is definitely something to take carefully if you do – but no harm in trying, especially if you could get a sample.
Patch testing before use is definitely a good idea. Thanks for the detailed review!
Laura
Your welcome! Patch testing is something that can be so useful in so many situations.
never heard of this brand. such great info to know. thanks for sharing.
They seem to be a much loved brand by many people 🙂
I heard commercials about these and was wondering what they were really like, so this is great to hear!
It is awesome so many people are finding this post interesting, would love to know if anyone gives them a try!
I have super sensitive skin so I’m curious how this would work. I’ve tried so many things to help my skin get in shape! Thank you for sharing and your honesty!
No problem at all – if you do try it I would love to hear back how it went for you 🙂
Never heard of this product yet I love how you did your review. Not biased and very informative plus you also had some suggestions. Researching before using indeed is the best thing when trying out a new product.
Most definitely I would hope no one buys something without doing that and checking the ins and outs as I can’t mention everything (I’m always going to forget something lol).
Thanks for the honest review. I never heard about this brand before.

No problem at all – it’s nice to introduce people to new brands.
I have never heard about this brand but looks like good products. Great review!
Glad you liked it, I Would definitely be interested in trying different items from them.
Yes, now I understand why my wife Kris loves the brand so much.
Haha good to hear that others love the brand as well!
I keep hearing how good Strivectin is and have seen it at TJMAXX. Thank you for sharing your experience especially the tip on building up to the full regimen.
Ohh I’ll have to keep an eye out for it at TKMAXX as they might have it over here then thank you.
I appreciate your honesty. I have sensitive skin so I feel as though it might be important for me to by weary with.
I always think that’s the best way to be, it is what I would want to read so I try and tell everything the way I see it.
mother’s day is coming up, I don’t have a gift idea for my wife yet. StriVectin could a great gift idea. Who doesn’t want great skin as a gift after all?
Most definitely what an awesome idea! I hope she loves it if you do decide to go for it.
I didn’t spot your original post on these, but from what I’ve read here they sound right up my street! I may have to pick a couple of products up from the range to try out myself 🙂
Louise x
I hope you like them! It is such a big range as well so you should find something you love!
I must say I read the word acid and worry a bit bu then I’m not that up on what is current in the beauty world. I’m glad to hear your skin felt more hydrated after. Mich x
It is a worrying word isn’t it – there are good and bad acids I guess it how you could explain it and these are good acids 🙂
I haven’t heard of this product before, but I could use some new products for my skincare routine. Thanks for sharing, it sounds like something I can use.
Definitely worth looking into it if you are looking to up your regime a little!
It’s good that you gave them all another chance, sometimes I find when I try too much too soon I can have the same sort of reaction x
Yeah I totally think I overdid it, should have gone slow and steady and just didn’t think it over.
Thanks for the advice – will ease in if I try them
Good luck if you do decide to give it a try 🙂
I am such a huge StriVectin fan. I’ve had great success with all its antiaging products. Unfortunately I’m nursing right now so I’m taking a break.
It is always awesome to hear from others who have tried and love the range!
Always on the lookout for skincare which others have tried – does sound good
I’m the same I love hearing about different products for sure!
This is the first time I heard about this product. But I don’t mind checking it and have my own research about it, seems very promising though. I have a sensitive skin so I am so careful trying product out there.
It is hard when you have sensitive skin you have to take everything slowly and be so careful on ingredients as well.
I think I would do it like you. Not all the products at once. I’m usually lazy and don’t do much for my skin, but I should start taking better care of it.
I am awful for not looking after my skin I really keep trying to get in to a better routine that I keep up and this has helped.
Sounds worth it for the price. Great indepth review.
I am glad you enjoyed the review 😀
I am skincare obsessed and have actually never tried any of Strivectin’s products before! How is that possible! I love your review and I’m thinking I may need to try them soon!!
Ohh lovely I really hope you LOVE them if you do go ahead and try them!
I have such a hard time changing up my skin routine because my skin really does like consistency. I think I’d find it hard to do especially if I broke out from it. Good luck with it and I hope it gets better.
It definitely got better as time went one – it was just keeping at it.
I truly appreciate your honesty in this review! Sounds like an interesting product
Thank you – it really is an interesting set of products, well thought out.
VERY good tip to start with one product at a time and do a patch test!
I do not blame the product or brand – we do all react differently to different product as you said.
Good to know it may not be for sensitive skin though!
Most definitely, I don’t think there are many truly bad products out there, it is all about how we react with them.
I agree about skin care products reacting differently on different skin types. I think it’s good to test it out first but overall these products sound amazing and seem to do what’s expected.
Most definitely always make sure you patch test, like hair colours as well! Patch test, patch test, patch test.
I had never heard of these products before but they sound amazing! This is definitely something I have to consider for myself – I am always on the hunt for the next best skincare.
It is always great to keep on looking for new products, things are changing all the time aren’t they.
I hadn’t heard of these yet, I love new products though. I am going to have to look into this Strivectin brand!
Enjoy looking into them – it’s always fun to find out things about new products.
I am to the point now that I can no longer use cheap products on my skin. I really need to put some time and research into what works best for me.
Good luck with doing the research you need to do – I hope you find some great products that work for you.
Really interesting brand! I’ve never tried any of their products before but I appreciate the fact that you took the time to share your experience. It sounds like they’re worth getting especially since they seem to work!
They definitely work well I wouldn’t say no to try more from the brand that is for sure.
This is great to know. We usually try to use natural organic products as much as we can.
There is something special about a good organic product! There are some amazing ones out there isn’t there.
My skin could really use some help, I’m all dried up from the long winter! I do have sensitive skin though, very, I wonder if that would affect my results.
It is awful when the weather affects your skin so much.
This sounds like an amazing product! Love trying new products! I have to look into getting it.
They are well worth looking into 🙂 you never know you might just love them.
I am always interested in finding a new product that helps hydrate and moisturize the skin. These look like a nice brand t.o try
It is definitely an interesting brand, well worth having a nose into from time to time.
My skin is super sensitive, so I was wondering about this brand. I have heard lots of good things.
Definitely, go in slow with it, if you have sensitive skin, but well worth trying.
I have never heard or seen this yet in here. Sounds like a good brand, I have very sensitive skin so I am curious about this.
They are definitely an interesting brand, we worth looking into some more to see if they are of use to you.
I’ve used some Strivectin products in the past and they seem to be pretty good products. I haven’t tried these though, but adding a couple to my mom’s day wish list. Thanks for sharing!
They seem to be one of those brands a lot of people seem to have good things to say about for sure.
Thanks for the honest review. I have extremely sensitive skin, so I’d be a little iffy about trying these on myself.
It’s definitely worth approaching with caution if you do.
Thanks for such an honest and detailed review. I’ll have to keep me eye out for these!
Your welcome, I am glad people enjoyed the review.
Always like an honest review of products. My skin could use some help so I’ll check this brand out
I hope perhaps you find they work well for you!
I might have to give these a try. My skin could use the help. I’d just use a small amount first to make sure my skin liked it. Normally I do not have sensitive skin.
Always worth doing. I’m awful for slathering things on and then wishing I hadn’t!
This was a great review, very informative
