Scentsy Go Pods Portable Fragrance System – Review
I have long loved candles and I’ve had a diffuser around the home for the past couple of years. However, I am always interested in trying new home fragrance products and when I heard about Scentsy Go and Scentsy pods I knew it was worth a try.
However what I didn’t expect was how much I would like it. I’m completely in love with inspiring fragrances they provide and the system itself.
What is the Scentsy Go?
If you are yet to hear about Scentsy Go, which is released today(!) then let me tell you a little about it. Perhaps a first of its kind, Scentsy Go is a portable fragrance device that is small enough to fit in the drinks holder of your car, while big enough to pack a powerful punch.
Running on battery power the Scentsy Go is a fan diffuser which has a completely rechargeable internal lithium battery. The battery is charged via the included USB cord and offers up to 40 hours of fragrance and light per charge.
What’s more, there is no heat let off from this device, making it friendly for those with young children or mischievous pets.
How does the Scentsy Go work?
Set up is simple; you twist open the cover on top of the container and pop in one or two Scentsy Pods (each pack includes two scent pods) in the fragrance of your choice. Choose from a wide range of fragrances including vanilla bean, Amazon Rain and Baked Apple Pie.
Press and hold the top button to turn on the fan, until the indicator light switches on and the fragrance begins to be released. It is worth noting a second press once on will turn on eco mode, which intermittently turns the system on and off, releasing the perfect amount of fragrance.
The air flows through the Scentsy pods and the pods release the perfect fragrance thanks to the beads in the pods.
The light button is located under the power button, one press of this will turn the light on to the seven-colour light LED rotation. If you press this button again you can pick and choose which colour you would device to stay on.
What did I think of the Scentsy Go?
I honestly am so impressed, I had some Scentsy sent over from the US many years ago and hadn’t realised it had made its way to the UK with quite such force.
I actually popped up a post on Facebook and asked if anyone knew of any Scentsy consultants, after I’d read quite a few Scentsy reviews, and was directed towards Tina of MotherGeek, who has kindly taken me under her wing and let me buy lots more Scentsy.
Alongside the Scentsy Go I was sent the pods in Luna, which offers a mix of white florals, including jasmine, sweet pea and freesia, alongside juicy berries and sandalwood. I think these are my favourite Scentsy fragrances so far.
I’m going to be honest, at first I wasn’t sure what to think of this scent, I found it quite sweet and overpowering, however, I had put two pods in and so I took one out and it really made a difference. Two pods increase the fragrance strength for larger spaces.
The bungalow we live in is quite small and the two pods together were obviously overwhelming for the space we have, as soon as I switched to one I felt like I had a different fragrance filling the room, an uplifting fragrance experience that I really loved.
So I definitely suggest playing around with the number of pods you use, to see what works best for your space and to get the perfect amount of scent.
Overall I am loving my Scentsy Go system, I cannot wait to order some more pods later in different fragrances. At the moment there are 11 different fragrance pods to choose from, with each set of 2 pods costing £12.99. Pods provide up to 120 hours of fragrance and are filled with no spill fragrance beads.

I was using two pods at a time, and only time I smelt scent is when it was directly under my nose. I do like scents products but they NEVER last as long as they say. I say 1 entire bar of wax lasts maybe 12 hours. pods last a few days (directly under nose) might be ok in a small bathroom with the door closed
Oh no that’s not good 🙁 I run mine every night in the bedroom on eco and I find it works well. Have you tried different scents? I’m not sure if perhaps we have tried different ones?
A bit pricey for me. Would consider buying one on sale though as I love the idea.
It is quite expensive but I actually think it is worth it after using it – definitely a must grab if it’s on offer of course 😉
It’s design was copied off of the Airmoji which has been around over a year.
I have to admit I’ve never heard of the Airmoji before? Does it sell here in the UK?

wow,i really liked the look of this,i love my wax burners and candles but im always worried about pets knocking them over,this sounds perfect for me,i think the colour changing lights would really set the mood aswell,lovely,thanks for the review,ill try and get my daughter to buy me one for my next birthday or christmas

I think I’m confused! Is it still wax in the insert that you put in? Or is it oil now?
No it’s neither (just to be different) it’s little scented beads that are inside the pod, when the wind from the fan goes through them the scent is released.
Wow, this is so nice. I love the idea that it is something you can use anywhere and even easily take away with you. Will be checking out their site to see the other variants too.

I sincerely never heard of these before. What a shame! I only knew about the fragrant candles which are so not convenient sometime. I myself find peace in fragrant which I like, therefore I have always dream of carry the smell with me everywhere I go. It is quite possible now with this so I will definitely check it out.

Honestly, it is well worth it, yes there is the outlay to start with but £12 for 120 hours is a real bargain.

I”ve heard of the scentsy scents for years now but have yet to try it. I love that this is a diffuser which I absolutely love. I’ll need to check this one out…i have friends who rave about the scentsy scents.

I absolutely LOVE Scentsy {even if they are a little expensive} but my love of candles and delicious smells are just too good to not buy! These look great!

I’ve never heard of this Scentsy Go Portable Fragrance System device before but I must say it sounds like a cool product. If I ever get one of these, I’d totally go for the Scentsy Pods that has a vanilla smell.
There is a real range of different scents, I have a few coming my way and I can’t wait to try them now.

I totally agree, I have to admit in warmer months I don’t really light candles at all so it is great to have an alternative to use.
120 hours of fragrance sounds great and I like how easy it is to move around. I have loads of candles at the moment but this sounds like a great alternative.

They are amazing aren’t they – the can really add a different feel to the room.
Scentsy Go sounds like a brilliant product, especially because you can move it around and charge it by USB. This can save a lot of money in the long run as you don’t need to buy separate air fresheners for every room in the house.

This is so clever. It will be super useful when traveling. It’s nice when you can make yourself feel more at home with a nice scent.

I was introduced to Scentsy products years ago when I worked for the elementary school. One of the teachers had a basket party in the break room. I fell in love!

This is a great way to take some scents with you. I would love to see them make a smaller option though. I love so many of the Scentsy scents but would love to take them in the car where I can chose how much to diffuse.
This fits in a cup holder so while it isn’t the size of a car air freshener it is most definitely perfect for popping in your car.
I love that this is rechargeable. Probably one of the most important things when it comes to something like this is that you can recharge it. I know for me if it is something that I constantly have to replace the batteries I will probably never get it. I’m excited to try this.

They are really good, honestly I’ve become a huge fan of the brand.
These do look fab. The only thing that puts me off is the price really…and the fact you need to buy ‘special’ pods to re-fill them? When money’s short I sometimes cheat and re-fill my gorgeous looking reed diffusers with ‘cheaper’ essential oils or fragrances that often do a great job.
I can understand that for me, I think the fact your getting 120 hours for £12 works out OK in my mind, especially when I buy things like Yankee which cost nearly £20 for 60 hours I think it is.
