Crowd Fund with Leetchi.com
Crowd funding has become a big thing this year, so many people are turning to others to help them fund their needs and while I’ve not used it myself, I have often looked at it and thought wouldn’t it be great if on a smaller scale you could use it to collect funds with friends and family when something special is about to happen.
For instance a birthday is about to come around and instead of all buying little bits, you would really love to group together and buy something more expensive, you know the recipient would really love. Now if you all live near each other and see each other on a regular basis, it’s easy, but what happens when you are all based around the country, or even around the world?
That is where a money collection service such as Leetchi comes into play. This clever little service allows you to create money pots and share the link with your friends and family for them to upload their own gifts to.
It of course also helps for raising funds for non-profits and larger projects, but to me this nifty way of collecting money between friends and family is perhaps the best of it.
So how to you spend your Leetchi funds?
Leetchi allow you to spend the money raised directly at a number of partner websites such as; Amazon, Codage, Wiine.me and more or withdraw directly to a bank account (however this option is subject to a fee of 2.9% for money pots over £2000 and 4% fee for money pots under £2000).
For me Leetchi, is definitely going to be a website I use through 2017 to help make group gift buying a lot easier and I can’t wait to see if they team up with some more partners, offering more places to spend your money for free!

It is a really great platform I like that it is welcoming to any sized project as well.
This is perfect. There are moments when I am with a group and we would like to get one big gift, but never had the ability to just share funds. This is amazing.
I’m familiar with Crowdfunding and always thought it was lame when people use it and Kickstarter to get themselves out of debt. But with Leetchi, this is a really interesting concept. Im going to have to check into it. Although it seems like it’s only based in Europe.
That is such a neat idea! I love the thought of easily potting your money together for one purpose. I know that living so far apart from friends and family make that hard and this would certainly make it easier!

This looks like a great idea, there are so many crowd funding apps out there but this one sounds like one I’d like to try.
I’ve never heard of this site, I often put money with family members etc to buy other relatives gifts but this sounds ideal specially with my brother living in Australia. Definatly something i will be looking into

Sounds like a greta way for people to pool money together for whatever reason. My sister lives abroad so getting her to shell out for anything when it comes to our parents is hell!

What a great way to combine money for a gift. This would be great for my moms birthday
I love this idea to crowd fund for specific personal stuff like gifts – we were asking family members for money for a new camera and doing something like this would have made it easier so we could spend it where we needed to and they didn’t have to get out cash or send cheques. Really great idea x

Definitely – I think it’s great for something like that, means everyone can get involved so easily.
I’ve only used it to donate to charity appeals, I didn’t realise it could be used for other things!

Exactly it is so simple to use as well, I was really surprised and the fact you can exchange on a partner website without losing a penny is fab!

It just makes the collecting so much easier, I normally use paypal but so many people turning away from it now this is a great alternative.
