Retap your Drinks: Review
Retap is of Scandinavian design and is specially made for use with tap water – the bottle has been specially designed with the thought of giving the best drinking experience even down to the fact it has been made with no edges to make sure there is little room for bacteria to grow.
The bottle itself has been made from a high-quality borosilicate glass that offers a more eco-friendly production form than normal glass and also just happens to be 20% recycled as well as extra strong to help it last longer – in fact all Retap glass bottles come with a lifetime guarantee and if yours does happen to break you just send it back for a replacement free of charge.
The lid is made from a BPA-free rubber and on top of that each bottle is completely dishwasher safe, they even sell a dishwasher rack so you can make sure it makes it through the wash safely.
Personally, I really like the idea of the Retap bottle – I hardly dare think of how many plastic bottles I use across a year and while I make sure I pop them all into the recycle bin I would feel 100% better knowing that I don’t even have to worry about that and just wash and reuse.
I’m not a water girl but I’ve found it pretty easy to pop a bit of squash into the bottle before adding water – and it fits perfectly into the fridge door (as well as your hand) so on a warm day I can grab a cool swig every now and again.
I was sent the 500ml size which comes in at £12 each and can be brought from Green Tulip, but they are also available in 300ml and 800ml so you can grab a size that is right for you.
What do you think of the Retap bottle, could you see yourself using one?

This is a brilliant idea. I’d like to use it for school water bottles as I’m getting tired of the bottles that alwas leak.
I was thinking what a great lunch box type bottle it would make and to go in the dishwasher its got to be pretty tough glass

I know I hadn’t even thought of it that much till I started this post and now eek! x
This is really cool. I am always buying bottled water because I do not trust tap water at all. This might just change my mind though.
You could always grab one of these and a filter 🙂 x
It’s a really cool looking design and I love that it’s not a fliptop lid.
Its fab isn’t it I was worried about the lid at first but it’s actually a great fit 🙂 x

An interesting idea.
It’s really good isn’t it 🙂 x
With a very low immune system I so need to be careful where bacteria is concerned & I think this is a super idea, one I may need to add to that ‘need to buy’ list that grows every day!
Haha sorry if I’m adding to that one with you! *hugs* x
I have never heard of these before, but I do agree with the idea of not using plastic water bottles. I used to buy them, but not any more.
It’s scares me how many we get through and I wouldn’t say we were huge consumers 🙂 x
Love the design and the fact that it decreases the chances of bacteria growing. Water is what does a body good.
I love that part as well it is quite worrying that bacteria could just be growing in things we drink out of every day x
I would actually use this bottle all the time. I don’t ever drink tap water. I usually get water from one of my friends that has a special machine but if I had the bottle I would be able to do that myself.
I hope you can find something like it for yourself 🙂 X
This is a great alternative to plastic bottles!
It really is isn’t it and saves so much x
I think it is a fabulous idea!!
It’s fab isn’t it x
It’s fab isn’t it – it’s made to work perfectly with dishwashers as well and allow the water to flow around the bottle. We have been using it in the fridge for cold water I have to admit. x
I definitely could use this bottle. I need to drink a lot of water and this will motivate me. Love it!
So glad you like it 🙂 hope it helps you drink more if you do get hold of one 🙂 x
I hate bacteria so will prefer these bottles for sure and the price is affordable, which is impressive. Thanks for sharing this product 🙂
Ir can be so scary can’t it – so glad you like the product 🙂 x
Very cool idea! I need one of these!
I hope you manage to get your hands on them soon 🙂 x
I love this! Though water bottles are handy, I do worry about bacteria growing, especially around the straw area or in the straw where it’s truthfully hard to reach and get clean.
So true – it can be quite scary really just how quickly things grow. x
Yes, I could definitely see myself using one of these. I didn’t even know about this product. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Your welcome I hope it will be useful for you 🙂 x
I have never heard of these before but would definitely consider using. I go through a mountain of plastic bottles and always cringe about it!
It’s awful isn’t it when you start thinking about just how much you do go through x
oooh not heard or seen this looks like a great idea xx
It’s fab isn’t it – great for an older persons lunch box x

I had never heard of these before. How cool!
They are fab aren’t they – I have to admit I hadn’t heard of them till I tried it 🙂 x
This a really good idea,I keep bottles of water in the fridge all the time and i’m forever changing the bottles,so these are such a great idea
That’s what I do with them- they fit in much better than a big jug and its so nice to have access to cold water. x
I’m always a little apprehensive about what is in my tap water, which is why I use a water bottle with a filter, but I like that his one does not let bacteria grow!
I can completely understand that – my Dad works in the water industry over here so we have a bit more of an insight – a way around it could be getting a filter jug and then dispense it into the bottle 🙂 x
I had not heard of these. I am constantly on the lookout for a reusable water that doesn’t leak or have badness in it! Thanks!
Your welcome they are so innovative aren’t they 🙂
This is actually such a cool innovative idea! (:
It’s really cool isn’t it very different 🙂 x
