5 Places to Visit in the UK
Autumn might be here, but it doesn’t mean you can’t look to go out and explore more of the UK, see what it looks like as the season’s change and take a well-needed rest-bite before the craziness of the Christmas season kicks in. Here are a few places I think might be worth visiting even out of season:
Cornwall
I love Cornwall and have been there over most months of the year, I can definitely say that heading down there in autumn or winter is still well worth it. There is something wonderful about walking along the shore in the brisk wind and it is a sensation that everyone should experience at least once.
If you are looking for a great location for a large family to visit, then check out this post from Twins, Tantrums and Cold Coffee.
Lake District
For those who like walking then a trip to the Lake District should definitely be on the cards. With the country lanes and beautiful hills taking on a whole different look and feel, as beautiful colours of autumn take over the green of summer.
Blackpool
If you love seeing the bright lights, then visiting Blackpool Illuminations might be the perfect destination for you this autumn. With the lights already switched on as well, you can make the trip before it gets too blistering cold this winter.
London
There is perhaps nothing like visiting the beautiful city of London when it is Christmas. Along with all the shops being filled with festive cheer, there is, of course, streets filled with lights and pop up markets across the capital, which will help you get your Christmas shopping done in no time.
Birmingham
I may be biased as I live near Birmingham, but if you are going to visit one Christmas market this year, I most definitely think it should be the German Market in Birmingham. With over 180 stalls hitting the streets of Brum, it is always a great day out.
Where would you like to go on an autumn adventure to?
