4 Jobs To Tackle Around the Home
If you are making the most of the summer and thinking about getting on with some jobs around the home then here are 5 jobs that might help you on the way to giving your home a clean and tidy feel.
Declutter and Clean.

We all end up with things we no longer use or need and while decluttering is a great idea at any time of the year, summer can be a useful time to head out to a car boot and earn some extra pennies on top of making space.
Of course, while you declutter it is a good idea to think about cleaning. After all, cleaning as you go can really make things easier to deal with, as you will only be tackling a small area of the home at a time.
It is also worth making sure you have the right tools for the job. For instance, Dishmatic offers a range of microfibre clothes which can be great for cleaning all around the home, from washing up, to damp dusting you might be surprised by how helpful one is.
Mow the Lawn and Clean Your Driveaway.
With the mix of rain and sun, we are getting at the moment, things seem to be growing like crazy, so it might be time to think about mowing the lawn again as well as perhaps cleaning the driveway.
It’s a good idea to keep some length to your grass, just in case we still get a bit of a heatwave hit.
When it comes to your driveway you will want to look at clearing any weeds that may be growing through or just giving it a general tidy-up. After all, these are two areas that people are going to see first when they arrive at your home.
Clean Your Appliances.

Something that is often overlooked in the home is making sure our appliances are clean. However, making sure those white goods we use to clean our clothes and dishes have a clean of their own is a must.
If you want to do this without reaching for chemicals then using a mix of white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda can work as well.
For your washing machine; use a white vinegar water spray to clean out the seals, draws and door to help ensure your washing machine is ready for the big clean. Then use a bicarb paste in the draw (1/4 cup of bicarb to 1/4 cup of water) and vinegar (2 cups) into the drum. This is a more natural way to give it a deep clean and remove mineral deposits and any mould growth. Make sure to run on a 90-degree cycle to make the most of this cleaning method.
You can also use a mix of vinegar and water for your dishwasher to clean out all the dirt. To do this just place the mix in a dishwasher-safe container on the top shelf and run the highest temperature cycle as possible.
Check Your Alarms.

You should check your alarms multiple times per year. However, while you are giving your home a once over it is a good time to do them. Make sure to check the batteries in both your smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm.
After all, you want to be as safe as possible in your home.
However, what about you, what is your most important job to do in the spring?
