Christmas is just around the corner, and it might be the time you start to think about what game to play on Christmas afternoon, so I’ve put together a list of 5 ideas which might be perfect to get out this year to play with all the family.
Taskmaster: The Board Game

Based on the hit show, this game is full of creative and bizarre challenges. Players must complete tasks set by the “Taskmaster” (one player acts as the judge) to score points. From silly physical feats to creative problem-solving, it’s a laugh-out-loud game that will be a highlight of any Christmas gathering. Suitable for ages 8+ this game needs 3+ players.

Age suitability depends on the edition and if you have more people than pieces then why not create teams?

My favourite game is 20 questions. We have had it as an adult board game for many years but with our grandchildren we use hand made cards in a number of categories (according to their age) One of them keeps the score allowing 20 questions (Y or N answers only) for the rest to solve. They still ask to play it even though the youngest will be 13 on Boxing Day and can play the board game now!
I like doing made up quizzes with my family at Christmas.
We love Monopoly Empire. It never takes too long.
we always love to play a game of charades or whatever new game Santa bought.
