4 Great Gift Ideas for Mother’s Day
This year seems to be flying past us at great speed and if like me you have left it until the last minute to even realise it’s almost Mother’s Day, here are four ideas to hopefully get you on track for this Sunday.
Godiva Chocolates
Godiva chocolates are the perfect present for anyone who loves chocolates after all Godiva offer some of the best on the market and are just perfect for a special occasion. For Mother’s Day, there is a number of options perfect for the day, including the Spring Gift Chocolate Selection Box coming in at £25 for 16 pieces.
This pretty little box contains a whole host of delicious chocolates, from Godiva’s, must try signature pralines, to ganaches and caramels to name just a few. The only issue you might find, is I don’t think your Mum will want to share, but then it is Mother’s Day so why should she.
AncestryDNA
Has your Mother ever expressed interest in finding out her heritage, perhaps she is building your family tree and would like to know where your ancestors came from, and even get the chance of being linked to relatives she didn’t know existed.
This AncestryDNA kit can provide a personal ethnicity estimate from anywhere between 500 and a thousand years ago and uses information from 26 separate regions to come up with your own personal DNA data.
If this sounds like something your Mother would love, AncestryDNA have a great offer on in time for Mother’s Day, where you can pick up a test for your Mother for just £69 + postage and packaging instead of the normal £79.
NAOBAY
We all know our Mum’s do so much for us and they all deserve a pamper day, but they are often so expensive and often Mum’s seem to have no time to stop and think about even going on one. So why not give them to items to help them relax at home.
NAOBAY are made by a brother and sister team, who have committed to bringing natural and organic products to their buyers, they wanted to offer fun products to people who wanted natural and organic products and I personally think they have succeeded.
Take for instance the Orange Juice Hand Cream, the simple yet eye catching packaging really gives off a luxury feel. While the product itself really does work well, having left me hands feeling soft, nourished and thoroughly pampered.
Hullygood Organic Lavender and Flaxseed Eye Pillow
If your Mum has trouble sleeping then the Organic Lavender and Flaxseed Eye Pillow from Hullygood may well make for the perfect gift. Made for use before bed, this eye pillow lets off the beautiful scent of lavender and flaxseed, while the cool cotton pillow moulds to your eye shape and places gentle pressure on your eyes to help you relax and soothe your senses and mind before you go to sleep.
Having used it for a while now myself, I can definitely say it helps me take a few minutes to try and relax before I tried a drift off into the land of nod.
So there you have 4 great ideas for Mother’s Day this year, what do you think of them, would any be perfect for your Mum?

I would love to receive AncestryDNA. I’m so curious about those things, what a great idea for mothers day!
The Ancestry DNA kits really interest me, one day I think I’ll take the plunge
Godiva always makes me think of a quote in gossip girl – when asked what she wanted for a gift, Blair replied the 4 Gs – Gold, Gucci, Gerboras & Godiva – jewellery, designer clothes, flowers and chocolates – they are the best chocolates around though!
Well I’d never say no to a box of chocolates thats for sure!!!!
Very cool gift ideas! I think I woudl really enjoy the ancestery gift. It would be unusual, but interesting!
My mum is one tough cookie to buy for and she’s one of those who will say ” don’t waste your money I have all that I need ” same when it comes to christmas only thing my mom appreciates is slippers and anything to do with ladybirds for sentimental reasons
Such a nice idea! I would go for the Godiva chocolates and the eye pillow. Then I think I will add a scarf or accessory maybe and a bouquet of flowers for mom.
I would be very happy with a box of Godiva chocolates on Sunday. I wouldn’t have the share them either would I?! Haha.
Well. My mom has a really sweet tooth, so you can’t go wrong with Goddiva…
Oh that eye pillow! Looks perfect for a relaxing night in… eating the Godiva chocolates haha!
you can nver go wrong with chocolates as a gift
I love them all, especially the chocolates. Interestingly enough, both sides of my family have been doing ancestral research, we’ve gone back to the early 19th century for both.
OOh I love these gifts and need some chocolate right now, this morning is dragging so much!
These are such great and unique gifts. I would quite like the AncestryDNA one myself but I know my mum would love the Lavender Eye Pillow x
Such great gift ideas, and some really fab unique ones too!
Great ideas I alway buy to mine some perfume or flowers. They deserve everything, well we deserve as mum’s. Happy mother’s day to everyone.
Mother’s Day will be here soon enough, which means that it’s time to start thinking about how you’re going to cement your place as your mom’s favorite kid. Obviously you can’t buy a mother’s love—but you can at least grease the wheels by getting her the right gift.
I’m not really sure how safe I feel about the whole DNA bit, but it is an interesting idea. I had heard of the site before, but wasn’t aware they had these kits. Thanks for sharing these ideas – I keep forgetting mother’s day is coming up!
These are great gift idea. I’m so excited for the mother’s day and I’m still finding a perfect gift.
My mom really loves chocolate, last year I gave her a personalized gift.
That Godiva box is so beautiful. I can make such a box, but I can’t make the chocolate… lol!
You had my mouth watering with the chocolates. I saw the ancestry pack and I literally laughed out loud and thought, “I’ll stick with the chocolates” these are all great gifts!
Great ideas! Hmm… I want the Godiva chocolate as a gift for mother’s day! Going to give a hint to my daughter on what to get me.
I love your suggestion, and yeah, Mother’s Day is fast approaching, need to prepare as early as now
Oooh thank you – my family have been struggling with finding me something but that eye pillow is a fantastic idea. We had them on our yoga retreat and I loved them.
