Edom Body Butter: Review
With winter almost here, it is time to up my skincare routine as I find my dry patches get a lot dryer as the weather gets worse, in mid-October I was lucky enough to be sent a tub of Edom Body Butter in Ocean Mist to try.
I was drawn to Edom first of all because they look to offer Dead Sea products at affordable prices and secondly because they recognise the fact that our skin is alive and therefore needs to be nourished and looked after.
If you aren’t up on what is different about Dead Sea products, the black mud of the sea has as an amazingly high concentration of minerals, which makes them wonderfully therapeutic for the skin.
Some of Edom’s products, including this one, have Cellvitin in them, which is a scientifically blended mix of the minerals from the Dead Sea, it is said to protect the skin against free radicals and help with hydration levels and firmness.
The body butter comes in well packaged in a tub, inside a box, however it is then (as many products are) covered with a clear film which is fine, normally, however I found it impossible to remove from this pot. The outer rim of the film just ripped in a circle and I ended up having to cut the film away with scissors, so it’s worth making sure it’s off if you are going to need to use it in a rush the first time.
However, that is perhaps the only downside I can see so far. As I said at the beginning this only arrived mid-October and I’ve left it till the last moment I can, to post, allowing me to try it for as long as possible, as I often find while a cream starts off giving you wonderful results it can quickly decide it doesn’t agree with your skin any more. Though for me, as I write this, it is still offering a wonderfully hydrating, smoothing and soothing experience.
The cream itself has a thick luxurious feel to it, while the scent is light and fresh to seems to quite quickly dissipate from the skin after applying, which is great when you don’t want fragrances to collide. When it comes to how it leaves your skin feeling I have to admit I have been impressed, the cream while it soaks in quickly and leaves an impression on the skin for quite a while and even by the time night falls, my skin is still obviously reaping the benefits of the goodies within this body butter.
Of course one of the most important things to many of us when we buy a brand is what might be lurking within and I can say that this Edom Body Butter is free from Parabens, SLS and Mineral Oil.
If you fancy treating yourself to either this body butter from Edom or anything else from their range, they are available to buy from Judaica Webstore who ship worldwide. In particular, the Edom Body Butter in Ocean Mist has an RRP of $24 (around £16) but can be brought at the moment for just $17.99 (around £12).
What do you think of the sound of Edom Body Butter, would you try it yourself?

I don’t know why, but the term ‘body butter’ has always put me off a bit. I think I just imagine actual butter, which wouldn’t have a very nice texture! I think I need to get with the programme, though, they do seem to give good results.
