Bags of Love Personalised Lamp: Review
var noskim = ‘true’; Towards the latter end of last year, I was contacted by the lovely people over at Bags of Love and asked if I would like to review something from their range. Of course I couldn’t say no and after a while of looking around the website I came across their range of personalised lamps and thought “how awesome would it be to have one with my blog logo on” so that’s exactly what I had made up.
The design process was simple (although I did have a bit of a hand from the lovely people at Bags of Love). I had originally just placed my logo onto the lamp and left the background white, however, I had an email back saying, while it looks great as it is, we thought it could perhaps do with a bit more colour, so we have added a yellow background. Now I have to say it looked a lot better, but I am not a huge fan of yellow and so I used a picker tool to pluck the correct shade of blue from the clouds and adjusted it to the colour you see now.
This particular personalised lamp is the small table lamp which comes in at: 150mm x 380mm high, you can also get a larger floor lamp which comes in at: 200mm x 740mm high. They can be supplied with a UK or EU plug fitting and have a 1.8m long cord. While neither of the lamps come with a bulb, they are easy to buy, with the UK plug taking a B22 (bayonet cap) and the EU a E27 (Edison screw), the table lamp take a max of 40w and the floor lamp 60w.
The legs on the lamps include a Beechwood 20mm feet and are made of a semi translucent material, which allows the light to shine through.
Personally I am over the moon with this personalised lamp, I have to admit for everyday use I would have gone for something completely different, perhaps a nice nature photo I had taken or even the dog.
However, my idea behind having my logo put onto the lamp was it could work as lighting when I am taking blog photos, especially during the dark months of winter and for that plan I think it is absolutely perfect.
The price for a small personalised lamp starts at £38, while the large floor lamp starts at £48 both of which for something that you can use day in and day out and is beautiful personalised is a steal. Its lovely, I have never seen a personalised lamp before. I like the blue, think it looks really nice, not sure yellow would have suited it… might have been a bit too much? sometimes less is more. I am going to have a look at a floor lamp for my husbands study!

Lamps aren’t normally a thing you think of to have personalised but I love it! Such a unique idea to have your very own lamp, designed by you. I’d probably use a beach photo or perhaps a nature on like you said, something from my travels 🙂

What a great story & yes, it’s fun picking something to showcase your logo (I have a 3D house that I’ve used at home shows). You story was perfect including colors we like (don’t) and the color picker which too few people know how to use.
That’s such a good price for something personalised and the lamp has come out so good. So nice of them to recommend a change in colour rather than just going ahead with your original design x
