Sort out Valentines with Semichem

As a site Semichem is simple and easy to browse. The navigation bar makes it quick and easy to head to the section you want to browse, whether that’s fragrance, skin care, hair care or any other category of their stock. Each section is then broken down further. Take fragrance for example. Not only can you search for male or female fragrance but you can also sort by celebrity fragrances, by price, brand or look just for gift sets.
If you have no idea what to get your loved one – or what to drop some hints to them to get for you for Valentines Day – then here’s a couple of ideas from me.
For Her – Burberry Weekend.

The be honest with you the first time I took a spritz I was a little worried I wouldn’t get on with Burberry Weekend at all. That first few seconds for me offers an over powering, almost sickly fragrance. I can only assume that it’s the wild rose getting to me as more often than not I cannot cope with anything rose based. Thankfully I persevered and after the initial blast it settled into a pleasant floral scent with a hint of fruit. For me the stand out scents that come together are peach blossom, blue hyacinth and nectarine.
I can see for me this making a perfect everyday fragrance. One that is not too over the top and can easily been used whatever you happen to do be doing, be it working in the office, or out for a picnic in the park.
Burberry Weekend costs £24.99 for 100ml from Semi chem.
For Him – Paul Smith London.
Launched back in 2004 alongside its feminine counterpart, Paul Smith London For Him offers a whole host of different scents helping to make for a complex fragrance that just aims to please. Top notes include mint, orange, mandarin leaf and violet flower, while the heart contains jasmine, lavender and vetiver. It’s all rounded off with a base of sandalwood, tonka bean and amber.
I’ve long been a fan of Paul Smith’s fragrances so when Ash told me to pick a scent for him myself it seemed only natural I gravitate towards this one. Thankfully Ash, the man of few words, seemed to be impressed by choice and seems to have taken to it as an everyday fragrance.
To me Paul Smith London offers a mix of mint and coconut as the main scents that seem to shine through, through different phases which combined with the others offer a deep woody / smoky experience.
Paul Smith costs £9.99 for 30ml from Semichem.
What so you think of these valentines day gift ideas, what sort of fragrances would you go for?

I’ve only experienced Burberry once but can’t remember it – maybe that meant I didn’t like it? Who knows? Paul Smith is one of my favourite scents though – I’m always happy if someone buys me some of that (which is rare lol)
