The Unique Seat Company is one of those amazing small companies which are working away in the UK. Bringing beautiful and unique pieces of furniture to many homes. 

They are a company which I think should be recognised by more people. As after all, they are making beautiful items, which fit into so many different styles of home. 

About The Unique Seat Company:

Sometimes it is best to let a company talk for themselves and Heather gave me this brief insight into herself and the company to share with you:

“The idea for The Unique Seat Company was conceived back in 2004 by Heather Jones. A former IT professional, she was trying to find antique furniture which was both well upholstered and also had a contemporary feel. Which she was to use for furnishing her period cottage.

At around the same time, Heather had begun to feel there were issues which we all, as a nation, needed to address. The need to re-cycle and re-use existing items. Alongside the need to keep traditional skills alive, While providing and maintaining excellent customer service with a personal touch. Yet still incorporating the amazing technology available today.

Off the back of these thoughts; The Unique Seat Company was finally launched in 2009. After, Heather had completed a diploma in traditional upholstery. She has in this time since successfully made the leap from IT professional to owner of The Unique Seat Company.

The Unique Seat Company sells its antique furniture and accessories online and through The Rutland Arms Antiques Centre in Bakewell, Derbyshire. They also specialise in making Victorian style, upholstered ottoman boxes. As well as upholstered dressing/privacy screens and offer upholstery and re-covering to the whole of the UK.”

Key Tassels

Heather was lovely enough to send two of their amazing key tassels.

I must say I can’t get over how well made and detailed they are!

You can tell that a lot of love, dedication and talent has gone into even these.

As such it doesn’t matter the size or price you are getting something really special.

The round bulb at the top is surrounded by small beads leading down into the full flow of the tassel.

These gorgeous beaded tassels are available in 3 colours; Red, Bronze and Duck Egg Blue.

With a cost of just £8.00 each. 

As well as this style there are even other ones available! So perhaps you could find something to suit you. 

What’s more, although advertised as key tassels I think they would work well on many craft projects. Personally I’m thinking about curtain tiebacks?
