Thalgo Sweet and Savoury Body Scrub: Review
I don’t think it’s much of a secret that I love a good body scrub, I suffer from very dry elbows and knees so I find using one alongside a good moisturiser a must to try and keep those flakes at bay, so when this tub of Thalgo Sweet and Savoury popped through my door from The Salon Look I couldn’t wait to jump in the shower and give it a try.
After my last encounter with a new body scrub, I approached this one when it came to sniffing it with slightly more caution, thankfully though it wasn’t something I needed to worry about with this carrying a quite natural scent with hints of citrus popping through. In fact it is fragranced with Mediterranean essential oils including Lemon, Grapefruit and Mandarin Orange.
For the ‘scrub’ this uses both sea salt and cassonade sugar, making for a unique texture while the active ingredients used help to calm, soothe and purify the skin alongside which are beautiful matched with Qi-Marine (brown algae extract) that is known to both protect the skins cells and help repair them as well as helping combat cellular stress.
Thalgo Sweet and Savoury body scrub has quite an oily texture in fact you will find it separates a little in the jar and you will either need to mix it up or dig down if you have left it sitting for a while, it does though come with a spatula meaning you aren’t digging around with your fingers.
In use the salt gentle buffs the skin removing dead cells, while the oil soothes and moisturises the skin making for the perfect combination when it comes to a scrub in my mind
When it comes to price Thalgo Sweet and Savoury body scrub comes in the more expensive range costing £41.50 (on sale for £27.20 at the moment) for 250ml but a little does go a long way so I can see this scrub lasting a very long time and mixing that with the buffing, removing and moisturising I can see it being completely worth the pennies.
What do you think of the sound of Thalgo Sweet and Savoury body scrub is it something you would like to try?

This looks like a luxurious body scrub. My skin needs some pampering, it’s so dry because of the weather.
I love scrubs….they make your body feel super soft! I will have to try this brand out. Thanks for the review.
I have been looking for a great scrub, this dry winter air is really hard on my skin. This scrub sounds great and I love citrus scents too. What a great way to wake up!
I bet this smells so good! It looks like a great way to be pampered!
I’m not too fond of oily products, but since it would be used before a shower, it probably wouldn’t be an issue.
I love a god body scrub especially a scented one.
My skin is so dry right now, I would love to try this out.
I love body scrubs! I will have to try this!
I have used a few Thalgo products (not this one yet) and they have all been lovely, so I will check this one out
I’d love to try this. I love body scrubs.
I am also always on the look-out for the best lotions and scrubs for my sensitive skin. I usually go through stages, but so far I’ve been using Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea for going on 7 years! I also prefer the natural (or at least subtle) scents, so maybe this is worth a shot!
This looks really great! I love that its scented with oils. That helps a lot with how strong and true the scent is.
I am a fool for a good scrub. I like the sweet and savory mix. Gotta try.
I like trying new hygiene stuff this sounds great
the sweet and savory sounds interesting. I’ve never used body scrubs, but I’ve heard really cool things about them. Love the snowflakes.
Oooh. It’s definitely that time of year for a scrub! Thanks for sharing, as I’m always having the worst time trying to pick one out. Citrus sounds yummy though!
I don’t know if I’ve ever used a body scrub. I’ll have to try one of these days and see if my tactile issues come into play. I have a hard time putting lotion on my hands even when they are dry and cracking. Like now.
ooh lemon is such a lovely smell. i’m gonna have to try this out.
Wow that sounds lovely! Here in Costa Rica we don’t have much of a variety when it comes to things like this.
sounds fab!
Love the smell of Lemon… will check it out
Lemon body scrubs are my favourite. I use them all the time. They really help to remove all the dead skin and leave my skin feeling soft and smooth
I love a good scrub, but I can’t tolerate the smell of orange. This is personal to me, so I’m sure others will love it 🙂
I love a good body scrub too, and this sounds lovely!
I use this at work and love it. They also have something similar in a gift set at the moment. Thalgo products are just gorgeous and so luxurious.
