Show of your Photo’s with Blurb

After going to Paris I was looking for a way to show my photo’s in style.

Yes, I could upload them to Facebook or show them off on Flickr. However, there’s something just not so personal about them being posted on the internet.

I miss the days of flicking through a photo album and remembering the good times, so while I was mulling over finding the perfect album because it has to look good on the outside, as well as making sure it has roughly the right number of insert places.

After all, you don’t want it to run out just before you pop in that last photo or have masses of free room at the rear. Blurb popped onto the scene and offered me the chance to try making my own photo book with them.

I decided to go for a standard landscape (10×8″) hardback book, with dust cover. ProLine oatmeal linen, ProLine pearl photo paper (60 pages) and to finish it off ProLine light grey end sheets. All of which came to £43.42 and I have to say the outcome was gorgeous.

It has definitely made me proud to show off all my France photos this way. 

The editing software (included in the designer download) has made it easy to make sure the final printing shows my photos at their best. While I’ve had nothing but compliments not just on my photo’s but on the book as well.

Creating Your Photo Book.

You can have as much or as little input into how your photo book looks. 

If you are short on time or just don’t have the patience to put it all together yourself, the software will automatically place all your pictures into the book for you once you have picked them.

I would suggest even if using this method to have a quick look through and make sure any pictures it has cropped have been done so in a way that shows your picture to its best. It only takes a few seconds once you find out just click and drag it from side to side or up and down to move the focal point.

I was sent a few other books to look through to see different designs the small square which start at just £7.95 being one of them and each one has its own funky and unique look and is amazing quality – so even if you don’t have the world to spend you can have your own book and not break the bank.

A blurb book doesn’t just have to be a photo book. You can use them to write your recipe book, see your children’s book in print, or turn your blog into something you can hold in your hands.
