Kevin Murphy Luxury Wash and Rinse
This past month I have been lucky enough to have been giving my hair a bit of a pampering thanks to The Salon Look. Who kindly sent me Kevin Murphy’s Luxury Wash and Rinse to try out.
Kevin Murphy LUXURY.WASH
Made specifically for hair that is dry or damaged as well as coloured hair. This product contains ingredients such as Citrus oils, Orange Blossom, Green Tea extracts, shea butter and Oat proteins. This helps to hydrate, protect and repair the hair. While also making sure the natural oils found in your hair aren’t stripped.
The first thing I noticed about the wash was the scent of it. I’m used to conditioners that offer a fragrance that makes you remember them. However, this shampoo is brimming with the scent of citrus. The wash itself offers a luxuriously rich texture that transforms into an identical foam as you massage it into your scalp.
This shampoo is specifically suited to naturally curly hair as it has the right hydro-lipid balance that suits the hair’s needs.
Kevin Murphy LUXURY.RINSE
Formulated for coarse hair to tame and soothe. The luxury rinse contains such ingredients as; Mango butter, Kukui Nut oil, Vitamin A, and Murumuru Nut oil. These help to bring moisture and shine to your locks. It also includes silk proteins and amino acids, which help rebuild your hair. As well as extracts of Peruvian bark to moisturise it.
Best used by massaging into the hair and then leaving it to soak in for a few minutes. I found my hair has really has calmed and smoothed from its sometimes frizzy state. (It is worth leaving it longer for dry or damaged hair.)
I have to admit I love the bottles used in all of the Kevin Murphy range. They so far have made for easy dispensing of both the wash and rinse. While the shampoo and conditioner combo has brought out the best in my hair leaving it looking and feeling really good. From the clean feeling you get from the wash to the taming of the conditioner I would definitely myself look to buy both these products in future.

So one of my guilty pleasures is having awesome shampoo. I love to have soft, smooth hair and don’t use styling products often so a great shampoo is vital! These sound amazing.

I really liked the packaging and would like to try it if it is available here in the U.S.- I loved anything that has the citrusy smell.
My hair is kept a bit long. So I may have to look into the brand a bit more when I have the opportunity.

I have never heard of Kevin Murphy products before. I did a quick search online and found that they use great natural products and are cruelty free. This is great post and it sounds like the Kevin Murphy products are great too. Thanks for sharing.

Okay, I am really tired because I saw wash and rinse and thought it was going to be a laundry thing. After reading it, I would love to try these out, my hair is so dry it needs extra help.
I used to have rather thick hair… though some medical changes in my life, my hair is no longer thick. I would have loved to know about this product a few years ago! I also love the shape and functionality of the bottle!

This sounds like a great brand although I do not think it is sold around here-at least I have never seen it. That of course does not mean very much–I will go to their site and check out what’s what.

Those are the strangest looking boxes of shampoo and rinse I have seen so far. These look really interesting and I always love a shampoo that suds up and makes you “feel” like your hair is actually getting washed. I think Citrus is great for shampoos and conditioners. I’m assuming because of the ingredients that this is a natural citrus scent?
It is a very natural smell I’m always drawn more to natural things that synthetic x
