Eye of Horus Goddess Mascara: Review
When I was contacted and asked if I would like to try the latest mascara from Eye of Horus, I couldn’t wait – if you haven’t heard of this brand they look to use formulas and ingredients from Ancient Egypt including; Moringa Oil, which was thought to have beautifying and regenerating properties as well as Beeswax, Candellia, and Jojoba waxes alongside Almond and Sesame oils to name just a few.
Eye of Horus products look to bring to the consumer high quality products made in Australia, that offer the best tools for the job. Each of their products are free from nasty chemicals, not tested on animals and Paraben Free, with each one being made with as many natural products as possible.
Eye of Horus – Goddess Mascara
I was kindly sent their new goddess mascara, which has a total of just 11 ingredients and uses natural waxes and Moringa Oil, which was found in Tutankhamen’s tomb. This natural based formula is fine for use on even sensitive eyes and won’t clump, run or smudge, while it volumizes and nourishes.
I love the sleek packaging the mascara comes in and I found that the wand is just the right length for me, fitting into my hand well, meaning I found it easy to work with even with my most shaky of hands.
The bristles on the brush are as you may expect plastic and they help to separate and extend the lashes, adding volume as it goes.
I found this such an easy mascara to apply; in fact I hardly had to do any work at all, as it easily separated the lashes and added length. I don’t try and add too much length to my lashes, as I have previously removed coatings on my glasses over time, from where my lases have rubbed against the lenses, so while I believe adding more coats could give you a much more dramatic affect it isn’t something I did try out.
I’m going to be honest now – I had an awful day a couple of weeks back, I completely broke down in floods of tears and perhaps luckily I just so happened to be wearing this mascara which allows me to confidently say, it didn’t move – there was not a panda eye in sight that needed cleaning up.
Personally I shall definitely be buying this mascara again, as I think it defines and separates the lashes well, while giving you perfect protection for those not so dry times and I didn’t have to scrub at my eyes to remove it.
The Eye of Horus – Goddess Mascara comes in at £19 and while this isn’t cheap I really believe the benefits make it worthwhile spending a little more.

This sounds fascinating – The whole idea of wearing ingredients once chosen by the ancient Eygptians is very appealing and if it is as effective as you have found it to be then I’ll give it a go!
Looks very ‘natural’ on the photo – I much prefer that to the current trend for bigger the better.
I have never heard of this make, but think am going to give it a go. really not happy with all the other ones out there that I have tried. I have very fine and quite short lashes, and it drives me mad when they clump up!!

I can easily see a dramatic difference from one eye to the other! I love, love, love a good mascara! Sometimes that is the only product I use so it’s got to be good!

Your lashes look lovely. It’s hard for me to find mascara that adds volume without being too clumpy. I don’t have many lashes and don’t like wearing false ones.
I love a good mascara. If it’s long lasting and no clumps it’s a winner in my book.
For me, mascara is the most important cosmetic. I love to try new ones, and this one seems like it does a great job at magnifying lashes!

This is so great to know about! I was just thinking it’s time for me to buy new mascara and wondering if I might try a new brand. Eye makeup is my biggest thing … I rarely wear anything on my lips or cheeks but I rarely leave home without eye makeup. I likey this mascara a lot. I like the look of mascara on others but frequently bodged mine with clumpy smudgey *bargain* price ones…. No more 🙂
