Crystals and Gemstones with Maomi Crafts
A while ago (OK way too long ago) I included Maomi Crafts in one of my Etsy wishlists.
Not long after I posted it the owner got in touch via twitter and asked if I would like to receive some of her gemstones.
Of course, I said yes, not realising how long my eyes would take to get better (yes 3 weeks is now at 3 months and I still can’t consistently wear my lenses).
However, we have finally got there and I am thrilled to share this wonderful shop with you.
Maomi Crafts.

Maomi Crafts is owned by Sophie and run on Etsy, where she sells crystals, gemstones and jewellery.
This is alongside being a biochemistry student.
One of the things that originally drew me to her shop was the unique shapes she has within her gemstones. Such as crescent moons, stars and more!
I must admit I was completely blown away with the parcel she sent me.
You know when you get something and you’re like oh I love this, oh but I love this too and this! Yeah, that was me opening it!
What Crystals Did I Get?

Jasper Star Shaped Crystal.
I must kick it off with this beauty. After all, it was the item I included in my wishlist.
They are beautiful, even more so than I can show in a picture. With some beautiful details running through it.
These star-shaped pieces come in at £13 and around 3cm in size.
Strawberry Quartz.
I love tumble stones; they are great for carrying around. Or for using in bowls around the place, to make unique displays.
Strawberry Quartz is said to be soothing and calming for those who work in a fast-paced environment.
I personally love the transition of colours in this piece.
Sodalite.
Sodalite offers a beautiful deep blue colour and is said to help you be in tune with your inner voice.
While also helping give you a renewed boost to your self-esteem.
Due to its beautiful colour, it is a gemstone you will often see used in decor items.
Jasper.
Jasper is one of those gemstones which just offers beautiful patterns within it. Every piece is unique.
It is a stone which comes in a huge variety of colours as well, though it is most commonly found in brown.
It is said to bring you peacefulness, happiness, and completeness.

Angel Aura Quartz.
I absolutely love how you can see a rainbow in this crystal.
I’m sure it can make for beautiful jewellery as that rainbow just shines when the light hits it.
This crystal is said to help with insight and connection to the divine and cosmic consciousness.
Citrine.
Citrine is something I have quite a lot of, around the bungalow, which is interesting when you realise it is said to absorb negativity.
It is found in variations of yellow, brown and orange and is of course associated with November as it’s birthstone.
Interestingly I’m not a fan of citrine in jewellery, I like it better in its natural raw form.
Emerald.
Emeralds are of course a gorgeous green in colour and used across the world in jewellery.
Interestingly this stone is said to stand for; mercy, compassion, and universal love. Something we could all do with a bit of, I think.
It is also said to help depression, perhaps I need a whole lot around me.

Amethyst.
A beautiful purple quartz, amethyst is another a stone I have a lot of around the bungalow. Most of it is in geode cluster form.
It is said to help in remembering and understanding dreams.
While also helping to relieve stress and calm irritability and balance out mood swings (no wonder I have so much).
Celestine.
I love crystal clusters; you may have noticed that from my pictures as they often show up in them.
It has a lovely milky blue tone to it, which is stunning in person.
It is said to bring calm, peace and balance.
Wire Wrap Necklace.
Of course, I mentioned as well that Maomi Craft offers a selection of jewellery as well.
Many of her pieces are wire wrapped crystals, however, some are simpler, like the one I received.
They hang on an adjustable cord and come in all shapes and forms, meaning there if you like this style you are bound to find something you adore in the shop.
Conclusion.

Maomi Crafts is an wonderful shop.
I already have my eye on some other pieces, which I am sure I will be buying soon.
So, if you need a last-minute gift, or want a present for you to see you into the new year go check Sophie’s shop out and don’t forget to follow her on Twitter as well.

These gemstones are beautiful. Inhave always wanted a few. After reading the benefits of these I need to get a few like Jasper and Sodalite. I am struggling a little and could use a little boost. I will definitely check her Etsy store out.
I hope they help you if you decide to get some. Her shop is lovely well worth checking out.
I used to own a chunky bracelet with different gemstones. The person who sold it to me said that the stones will help me achieve one of my goals. Coincidence or not, but it did! Within 3 months of wearing the bracelet, I got to achieve one of my goals that I thought was impossible. What is weird though, is that after that goal was achieved, my bracelet broke. I am now wanting to get a gemstone that would help with relieving pain and reducing stress.
Oh wow, that is so cool – it is said that once a need has been fulfilled by a stone it will return to the earth / find a new owner as it’s job with you is done.
Now, this is something I see myself buying a couple of times. Those crystals look absolutely amazing and I’d love to get one someday.
