  1. I love wool. Ithink it is one of the most underrated materials out there. So many say it is itchy, I have never thought so. I love the colors.

    We got a few from Matalan over the Christmas but they were small ones – this one looks massive.

  5. This rug looks lovely, I adore tartan picnic blankets, there’s something very nostalgic about them for me – we always had one as kids and we had lots and lots of picnics during the course of our childhood, happy times xx

  6. Tartan blankets remind me of picnics in the park on a sunny day in summer! We used to have one when I was a kid and I used to sit and plait the tassels hahah!

  7. I love tartan and I love this blanket. It would look perfect on my sofa by the log burner…would be a bit of a fight with me and my old dog for it 🙂

  12. most of my family were born in scotland; on special occasions some of the men wear kilt’s in our clan’s own tartan. so since i was little ive loved tartan. theses rugs look comfy and cosy and can imagine myself wrapped up in one with a hot drink and a good book.

  13. i like all sorts of blankets, we have a huge collection, but the only tartan one we had i threw away, didnt prove to be too god after washing

  14. i love a bit of tartan, and i love blankets (i’m a napper too, but mostly just cold a lot) so i really like this! is there a particular reason it’s so cheap though? most pure wool blankets and other items i’ve seen are really pricey.

  15. I love that tartan rug. It reminds me of my gran she always had one in her house in red. I think it looks great quality too. What a steal at that price as well!

  18. I love these tartan rugs it takes me back to my childhood as my Mum had so many; now I have quite a few as they are so lovely and thick, warm and strong. Weve used them for picnics the pets and of course sofa throws etc. Love that blue in yours its gorgeous.
